Arrival Story:
Miss Nibs, like most of my cats over the years, just "showed up" one day. She was very unhappy living outside; at first we thought her tail was broken because she always dragged it, but it turned out she was just scared. I caught her poking her head in the front door a few times, and so I just left it open to see what she would do. She was happy to come in! At first she was scared, and spent the night hiding under a dresser in the bedroom (a.k.a. the "stray kitty holding area"). The next morning she came bouncing out and was just fine, and she has been very happy ever since. Miss Nibs is the sweetest kitty I've ever had. She loves to lay upside down on my lap (all the better for tummy scratching, of course!)

Bio:
Miss Nibs most certainly has some Maine Coon in her background. Note the tufted ears (and paws!) She doesn't meow, but trills and "talks" in a very high pitched, kittenish voice. I call her my designer knockoff. Her real name is Nabby (named in honor of Abigail Adams, whose biography I was reading at the time she showed up) but she has been known as "Miss Nibs" for awhile now. She is very shy with everyone except me.
