Mr. Kitty, Sweetie, Baby, Evil Kitty, Bunny Rabbit, Meep-Meep, Itty Bitty Kitty Witty, Meow.

Kitty Complexion:
sleepyvery active
not curiousvery curious
not vocalvery vocal

Quick Bio:
-cat rescue

Black and White

He likes to eat as often as possible. New cat food, rideing in the car, shreading paper, going outside, he likes to watch birds and tease the dog, he also likes to "help" me change the sheets on the bed.

The Dog!, stale food, not getting to go outside now!, being picked up when he doesn't want to, not being picked up when he wants to, being left alone at night, the vet, people who are not Me, any cat toy I paid for.Other cats forcing him to enjoy himself

Favorite Toy:
paper, his cat dancer, string, anything that makes noise when he moves it, anything under the stove, his "baby".

Favorite Nap Spot:
the big chair, under the bed, anywhere I am and the dog is not.

Favorite Food:
All Food is Good Food, except if its cheap food and then its not as good, chicken!

He can sit up and beg and he watches TV, he can open and close doors.

Arrival Story:
I had really wanted a cat and I looked everywhere. I hit every shelter in three counties and I still couldn't find "my' cat. One rainy Saturday instead of going to the state fair, I went cat hunting and I finally found him. I named him Tex in honor of Big Tex at the Texas State Fair. I had no idea he would grow to be almost as big as hs namesake.

He was fixed very, very young as part of a study to see just how young they could fix a kitten. In his case it was 4 weeks young. He really seems to like me and other women, but he has a thing about men- he hates them. I think the doc who fixed him must have been male. Tex is a very talkative kitty and he will follow me around the house. When he's hungry and I'm not in the kitchen, he has learned to knock things off the shelves and onto the floor. I think he kept track of what things falling made me go to the kitchen the fastest. He learns things, he remembers skills and hones them. He is very smart. He's a little scary. Tex died on January 6, 2009 of liver disease.

I said When. I had enough. I went from four pills a day to nine pills a day and I said ENOUGH. I was so full of pills I didn't have room for my actual food and I love to eat! I couldn't eat, I wasn't strong enough to walk and my fur was a mess! Being chronically ill and acutely ill just was too much for me. I asked the feeder to let me go and she did. She cried like a baby, I smiled for the first time in weeks. I don't take any pills! I'm wandering around outside and eating anything I want! The whole place is padded! The sun is always shining and there is a special sun ray just for me. I feel great! And even better? No More Trips To The Vet!! Woo-Hoo!!!

I was busy.

I would have posted but I was busy, busy losing weight, busy being hungry all the time, just busy being busy. The feeder was concerned, she said she wanted to sleep at night or something really selfish like that and so she took me to the vet and that really made me annoyed with the whole world and now I have another pill to take every day. I hate the feeder.

I hate the dog too. And thunder. And possibly fireworks. Really, I pretty much hate everything.

Here are the seven random/interesting facts about myself:

1. I believe that what happens between a feline and his lovey should remain in the bedroom or the living room or under the dining room table where it belongs.

2. I am not actually fat, I was born with too much skin. It causes an optical allusion that is suggestive of extra weight but really isn’t. 17.5 pounds is not fat, it is 8.5 pounds of extra skin on top of my actual weight, which is only 9 pounds. I am actually quite lithe when you know what you are looking at – which is not a fat cat, it is a cat with extra skin. I don’t need your judgment, I need a handicapped parking sticker.

3. I do not hate everyone in the world.

4. I get pleasure from both reading and writing poetry , Ode to a Dead Waterbug and My Lovey, My Light… are two that I am very proud of . I have also dabbled in composing classical music with my Symphony in Q and The Catbert Variations. I also enjoy long walks along the back of the couch.

5. I do not judge other cats by the color of their fur, rather by the length of their tails.

6. I hate Velcro.

7. I have sniffed the dog and not hated what I smelled.
