Arrival Story:
I met Feisal after my first ruddy Aby boy, Kukla (may he rest in peace) died of FIP in July of 2001. After I lost Kukla, I was devastated - I'd never heard of FIP, for which there is no shot and no cure. But I knew that I wanted another ruddy Aby boy because I loved Kukla so much, and because ruddy Abys are, IMHO, THE most beautiful Aby color there is. So my breeder (who's just the BEST!) from whom I'd purchased Kukla (and who suffered with me throughout his entire illness) said I could come pick any other kitten I wanted whenever I felt emotionally ready. In Aug., of 2001, I went to her house - and there was Feisal ... BUT the little bugger wouldn't come out from under my breeder's day bed in her cattery!!! His mom played with me all afternoon but I was beginning to think Feisal didn't like me! But after awhile, he emerged and came home with me. He's named after Prince Feisal in "Lawrence of Arabia" (played by Sir Alec Guinness).
Bio:
Feisal has a little-known Aby talent: he's a boxer (and a Southpaw, at that!) You give him an index card or some other type of stiff paper or cardboard, hold it in front of him, and he "leads with his left" using first his left front paw, then his right, to push down on the piece of paper, beating it and "boxing"! He will do about 8-10 rounds with one paw and THEN ... voluntarily switch to the other paw! Jake LeCatta lives! As far as other things about Feisal, my husband calls him "World's Smallest Bastard" but, like every Aby, he's loaded with personality, friendly, welcoming, fun, energetic and very bonded to us both. Plus, he's gorgeous. He schmoozes our pizza delivery guy by standing on the kitchen counter and parading up and down, like he's saying, "Don't hate me 'cause I'm handsome - just pet me!" He loves attention, and stomps all over our bed when we're in it, usually at pillow-level (so we know he's there). His miaow, like Livia's, is very soft and bell-like. He loves to give head-butts but isn't much of a lap guy. Guess he figures his little sister, Morticia, gets all the lap time, anyway (which she does ...)

Until I can get to everycatt PURR-sonally, I want to send a big shout-out "THANK YOU!" to everypurr who wrote or left me a rosie or gift for my birthday the other day. I have some of the nicest, most thoughtful furriends on Catster and MomKatt was really touched by everyone's messages & gifts.
We can't thank you enough for thinking of me.

MomKatt is sad. Today would've been my 11th birthday. She misses me very much, still.
I'm glad Selina's there. We didn't get along when I was going through my last few months on Earth, but MomKatt has told people that, more and more, she acts so much like me that it's like she still DOES have a part of me there with her. I didn't NOT like Selina - I just didn't feel like myself those last few months and MomKatt thinks that Selina's appearance in our house coincided with me starting to feel worse from the lymphoma and ... well, anyway ... you get the idea. Otherwise, we'd have probably had a ball playing with each other.
I miss you, too, MomKatt, and one day, you'll get another little Ruddy Boy to love & spoil as you loved & spoiled & cherished me.
I'm always just a thought away ... I love you MomKatt ...

Me and the beautiful Zilla were married today in 2008! It would have been our 3rd anniversary had I not had to go to the Bridge this past August.
But she knows I still ADORE her! And now I can watch over her more carefully - and one day we'll be together again.
Meanwhile isn't she BEAUTIFUL ....
