Pet-Peeves: Those other )(*$@%)(*! cats I have to live with! I WAS an "only" but NOOOOOO ....
Favorite Toy: CATNIP (again) & once in awhile, I DO lower myself to swat at something (usually when MomKatt's playing with that black cat, Morticia ...)
Favorite Nap Spot: Anywhere I can insert myself where MomKatt is.
Favorite Food: Blue Buffalo's Spa Select dry food ... and catnip. (Did I mention I like catnip?)
Skills: Well ... I'm annoying. And grumpy. The older I get, the grumpier I am - but age has its privileges, doesn't it?

Arrival Story: Sharif is our oldest boy, an Applehead Siamese, purebred, and he was very brave, since he flew all the way to NC from CA to come live with us when he was a tiny kitten! In the last few years, he's discovered he has a voice and uses it judiciously - he doesn't talk a lot like a great many Siamese. We tell people that he speaks "when he has something to say". (There is something to be said for feline, as well as human, brevity.) He doesn't care to be held, or cuddled, but does love to crawl up onto the sofa or bed with us and will sleep plastered to the side of my right thigh when I sit up reading in bed. Either that, or he impatiently waits 'til I've finished eating dinner, then he'll hop up into my lap on our sofa while we watch television. (Oh, and one interesting note: his father, Samauri, was supposed to be the Siamese used in the remake of "That Darn Cat" that came out a few years ago. But, as most of you know, for some INSANE and STUPID reason, the movie used a calico cat?! Go figure! Samauri and Sharif look more like twin brothers than father/son so, if you look at one pictures, you're really seeing both cats!
Bio: Sharif is the "CAT"-alyst for my being a volunteer with Siamese Rescue (www.siameserescue.org). If I'd known about SR before I purchased Sharif, I would have adopted from them. However, all paths are good ones, and he caused me to become aware of that organization (through the main SR center in Locust Dale, VA). I've been a driver for our "Meezer Express" program, and I've helped 2-3 Siamese who were dumped at the Caswell County, NC, Shelter (including our other Siamese girl, Sasha, whose profile will be posted here soon) find first a good foster, then a wonder FUR-ever home. I'm pretty proud of that - and thankful to Sharif that he came into our lives (two months after my husband & I were married, actually). He's a wonderful cat - even if he IS turning into a "grumpy old man"! :)

7 things about me, then tag 7 other purrs ... OK ... *rolls up imaginary sleeves* Here goes:
1. I used to have a stuffed bee called BeeMan, with whom my pawrents used to torture me (back in the day when I was an only kitty ... SOOOO long ago ... *sigh*) whenever I occupied the top of the cat tree. They got it at the NC State Fair one year, and he had ... get this ... FLOWERED wings that flapped when they'd shake him from side to side.
PATHETIC ...
2. My father, Samauri, was ALMOST the "That Darn Cat" remake cat back in the late '90s ... then for some UNKNOWN reason, they used a calico. What is UP with that? The whole POINT to the original movie was that DC was a SIAMESE!
GRRR.
3. I get the "night crazies" a LOT ... There was a "Get Fuzzy" comic strip where Bucky gets the night crazies and goes running around the house, and the cartoonist wrote as his noises, "WEE-OOO WEE-OOO WEE-OOO HUBBA HUBBA HUBBA HUBBA HUBBA!" So now Mom&DadKatt yell that at the tops of their lungs whenever I get the "crazies".
IT FITS.
4. My girlfriend, Miss Sooks, is an ... *lowers voice, whispers* OLDER WOMAN. Hubba hubba! (By 2 years but it's still sexy. MOL)
5. I'm often a bad boy, chasing after my sisfurs Livia, Sasha & Morticia. Morticia I know to leave alone (she's a witch, you know MOL) ... Sasha gives back as good as she gets but ... Livia is an easy target. Too easy at times. She doesn't fight back so I can chase her w/out fear until MomOrDadKatt see me - THEN I get punished by ... *gulp* ... being HELD and LOVED while MomKatt plays w/my backfeet. The indignity of it all.
NO RESPECT.
6. I only eat dry food - don't eat canned or wet ... or hooman food ... never have.
SENSITIVE STOMACH.
7. And the last one ... gee ... *scratches head* ... Oh how could I forget? I love - I mean LOVE - catnip. I'd get stoned everyDAY if it were possible.
