Morticia's Musings

Well, things in my corner of the world are settling down after Feisal's trip to the Bridge. Gosh, it'll be three weeks this Friday - time goes so quickly. At least hoomans say it does - cats, y'know, don't really have a concept of "time" unless it involves the time of day we normally get fed (we know when THAT is, right guys?), etc. We operate on different clocks than hoomans have.
Thank you sweet girl for my beautiful Emerald. You're a great friend too! I love it. I'll wear it proudly on my jeweled set of wings. Those are only for show since I can't fly with heavy stuff on it. MOL. Sounds like your house is full of fun and joy. I'm glad your momma knows that Feisal is now feeling much better and helping everyone here do important work. Feisal and I have been discussing how he'll help me with rounding up IBD kitties and sending them to our website for help. He's got a new job to do so you can help your mommy with the other kitties. You know Pepper needs to lose weight, it's not good for his health. Start chasing! Oh I'm HELPING him with THAT! MOL I'm chasing EVERYBODY in the house now! Peppers is so easy, though, 'cause he's so slow! I POUNCE! KITTEN POWER! Selina (the nutty) Thank you Selina for nosing into MY diary! Get your ... oh, wait a sec, you HAVE a blog! OUTTA HERE! MOL *chases after Selina* On a more serious note, our vet said that, the longer Feisal went on, the more convinced he personally became that we'd been dealing with intestinal lymphoma and not so much IBD. Still either one is awful and you & your meowmy are to be commended for spreading the word & helping other folks get help with their kitties who have this. I'm sure Feisal will be more than willing to help! He always was kind to other kitties .... Morticia I know a lot of vets will say "instead of IBD" when diagnosing intestinal lymphoma. But honestly they can go together. IBD can be the cause of lymphoma so I'm not so sure about that. I would not rule out IBD as an initial diagnosis. Some of the cases on my website started out with biopsied diagnosed IBD that turned into lymphoma. Poor Feisal, he really is a sweetheart here at the bridge. Either way, if he had it or not, he's gonna be a great help in our little army of soldiers here to help other kitties. True. And, since MomKatt opted for the Pred and didn't want to put him through everything that would've gotten a definitive diagnosis, I guess we'll never know for 100% sure. But it was either one, the other or a combination. Either way, it came to the same sad ending. :( But education is ALWAYS good, no matter what the eventual outcome. And you're doing your part! :) :) Morticia That's it. For all of us kitties with these awful conditions, the ones that are here at the bridge. It came to the same sad ending. And now we are left to do the only thing we can do, move on and spread the word. Educate pawents about things like food, keeping a healthy weight (Pepper, MOL), etc. Truthfully it's hard, when a kitty doesn't make it, mom takes it very hard. She relives my loss each time. But she's not sorry she decided to do this. Look at Norman! He's doing well now (knock on wood). morticia N familee; just wanted ta let ewe all noe feisal be doin grate...eye seed him at de happee herring just a few days ago with torrie N kukla N lemme tell ewe them kittehs noe their catnip !! we iz all goin fishin later this week, werd haz it sum mackeral wuz spotted long de horizon by pier 7...if that bee de case we all is gonna be feestin good for at leest 10 minutes !!!! peace out N rock on, dude at RB cloud 777313 I'm glad everything is going okay since Feisal's journey to the bridge. Purring for Sasha's eye! I'm glad your family has been able to move on together since the passing of beautiful Feisal. I hope you can all continue to grow together and stay safe and happy. Too bad about the crazy Selina chasing you though, that doesn't help one bit in my opinion! Next time she tries to chase you you just give one good smakey paw to take care of that problem! Thanks, guys. You all know how hard that part of the journey with our kits is ... and we've both *DadANDMomKatt* have appreciated the outpouring of support. Wow, Sasha didn't tell me that Selina might have injured her eye! You can tell Selina that I'm really angry at her if that's the case. My poor Sasha's beautiful eye (sob)! Sasha's boyfriend, Teddy Kittedy That's what we're here for! That's still the biggest reason for me to stay here on Catster. No other place like this where you can find such comfort and loving kitties and pawents. Teddy, don't be upset! Peppers chases me too ... Mom&DadKatt don't know WHAT happened, really ... and my command of English sucks ... Sasha (the mute) |
