I can hardly wait until I'm reunited with the ones I love...but until then, I'm PLAY PLAY PLAYING all the time! I never get tired! I never get hungry! There are treats whenever I think about them though...and lots and lots of playmates!

I look down on my loved ones a lot. Perri often looks up and sees me. I remind her to keep playing and pestering Mommy and Daddy and pretty much everybody to play with her. They forgot how SMART she is and pretty soon, she's going to become a sous chef at a fancy restaurant, get a 401k plan, and start providing for Mommy and Daddy!

People just don't know what we're capable of ! :)

Purr, purr purr!!!

I love my Mommy and Daddy (EPITAPH)

The last night I had with them they let me into their bedroom. I was going to just sleep on the comforter near them but I couldn't get to sleep. My heart was all jumpy like it had been for a few days. I wanted to remind both of them how much I love them. So, i nuzzled my Mommy's hair and kept purring and rubbed my face against her and Daddy's faces and of course, licked Daddy's chin. I just felt really grateful for them both and the life that I shared with them and I wanted to express it. They kept leaking on me from their eyes and it only encouraged me more. I also decided to start rolling over on my back and letting them rub my belly, which I never really wanted before I started feeling all fluttery in my heart. The vet said I have a really BIG heart and Mommy and Daddy agreed, but it didn't sound like a good thing for some reason.

My last trip to the vet I was anxious, but I have to say the passing was easier than I would have imagined...at least for me. I know it was painful for Mommy and Daddy because they hugged each other and cried. My last vision was of my Daddy looking at me and Mommy had her hand on my side. Then everything just kind of faded and I gave in to the rest that I so deeply wanted.

Cousins?

Mommy had this lady come in today with two carriers...and what looked like my cousins were inside! They're staying in the 2nd bedroom for now... I am waiting for an opportune moment to pop in on them. I just know Mommy or Daddy will slip up and not notice me and I can sail into the room and take complete stock of the situation! I can hardly wait!

What's a Hurricane?

Whatever it is, we sure took a long drive here today! But now I am enjoying my Daddy's warmth as he scritches me behind my ear....Purrrrr purrrrr! This place is pretty cool -- they opened an umbrella just for me to lay under!! And Mommy and Daddy brought our beds and scratchy posts and a few toys too. What's also cool is they brought our water fountain too. It's like home away from home!

When we first arrived, I didn't want to come out of my carrier. I was just so unsure what awaited me out there! Mommy had to scoot me out. I immediately had to check the whole place out...it took a few hours to sniff everything. My sister Perri was hiding under the bed for awhile...I don't know why she was so nervous. But, now she has had time to adjust and snoop around with me and she's relaxed enough to update her diary (she's a star today!) and lay up against Mommy as she types this for me. (Thanks, Mommy!)

Many happy Purrs to everyone!

Mommy says I'm "maturing" - whatever THAT means

Leave it to parents to come up with odd names for us! Now they're calling me "mature." I think it might be a good thing, because Mommy doesn't yell it at me like she does with other words.

Still, I make it a point of rolling over on my back in the mornings when Mommy walks by and cutely moving my paws inward as I look up at her -- it never fails to get me a nice, soft, belly rub. This, of course, is followed quickly by some chin rubs, because I have trained my humans well!

I've also learned the fine art of "Scoot." When Mommy or Daddy say "Scoot" they mean I have to get up from wherever I am, and quick. I can even scoot quicker than my sister, who often wastes time meowl-ing in protest at Mommy or Daddy, instead of just jumping up and scoot-ing already! There might just be a thing or two I can teach my older sister now that I'm, I dunno, "mature" and everything...

No more Aliens - Yeay!

I coul d jump for joy! Well, I'd jump for pretty much any reason really....but I'm sooo happy that we no longer have alien presenses in our midst, and that the 2nd bedroom is once again open for froliking! Most of the time it is anyway. Sometimes, Mommy gets to sit at her "desk" and then she doesn't like it when I play "peekaboo" over her laptop monitor, thumb-wrestle her for her wireless mousie, or swat at the screen. Why else would anyone stare at moving object on the screen for such a long time if not to SWAT at them?? Mommy can be pretty strange, but I guess parents are like that in general.

Speaking of strange things... Daddy talks cutely to me before he goes into the bedroom and closes the door so I can't come in. Well of course I want to follow him and play the game of 'catch me if you can' as I wander and dart under the bed among a few storage bins and some shoes. Sometimes though he really doesn't seem to be in the mood to play that game, which is so confusing to me that I hid out of reach at a far corner of under the bed last night, until Daddy left the room to --of all things go play with Perri?? Thankfully he left the door open so I could dash out after him and not miss all the fun!

Continued Alien presence

Things are getting even curiouser. I can't put my paw on it, but I have the feeling that more Aliens are on their way to our place. I just don't know who opened the door and let these Aliens in. Where have they been all this time? Why do they have to come here and eat our food and snuggle with our humans? I suppose it's not terrible -- we do get EXTRA treats now almost daily, and lots and lots more huggles than ever before.

Also, Mommy sort of seems to realize how bad I felt when she took away my box to give to that "Foster kitty" so she gave me another one and Perri and I share it, which is REALLY cool. Well, we take turns in it, anyway. There's really not enough room in there for both of us.

Mommy was sick this weekend but now she's better and Daddy has a bad cold. I've spent most of the day just itching to make him better by licking his chin. I'm just counting the catnaps until he comes out of the bedroom and onto the couch, where I can begin my therapy!

Alien?

Mommy brought home something inside the carrier yesterday. Perri wasn't sure what it was but I know it's an Alien. It's this weird, fuzzy, grey wobbly thing. Sometimes it chirps.

I'm sure it has secret plans to infiltrate our food supply, but Perri is less suspicious. She hasn't caught a glimpse of its odd, tiny body yet. It's obviously trying to look like one of us, but on a much, much smaller scale. And those noises! Sometimes I lose my train of thought and think there's a wounded bird somewhere in the house and I run around looking for it.

If Perri is not suspicious, Mommy is downright suckered in by its fuzz. I hear her cooing and smell lots of food being prepared in the room where the Alien is.

Perri and I got into a cool wrestling match but my eye kinda hurts since then. Mommy keeps pestering me five times a day to squirt something awful into my painful eye. I wish Daddy were here to defend me!! But, Daddy is on one of his "trips" for "work" and I'm just not getting the cuddling I've grown accustomed to.

All of this activity has me really wound up. I prefer to sort of peek out from under the dining room table of late. I never know how long any of this 'change' is going to last!

One thing's for sure... It's not easy being the cat. Especially when you know the Truth about Aliens!

Shoelaces are fun

for some reason they're sort of off limits. I find them simply facinating though, and I MUST dig them out of their shoes if they're tucked inside. They can run but they can't hide from me!

There is a new box in the house. It's big enough for me to lay down in and maybe Perri too. But Mommy turned it over. She said something about it being a Foster cat's box. This sounds suspicous to me. I don't want anybody else to use my box! It's purrfect for me! I spent a lot of time sleeping in it the other day while Mommy and Daddy watched TV...until Daddy came over and sat next to the box so I could jump on his lap.

Even boxes don't rank over my Daddy!

What is a 'freak?'

Mommy keeps getting annoying and calling me a 'freak' (whatever that is!) when I'm checking something new out. Like yesterday for instance, when she left her scootering armored pants on the floor for a little while, and I climbed inside them and rubbed my head all over the edges.

I don't get what's the big deal, but I am maturing so I listened when she said "Munch, no!" for the third time.

There was plenty of room in there for me...and Perri seemed interested, too. She could have fit inside with me. Oh the fun we could have had!!!
