Nicknames: Munchy, Munchkins, Mr. Munch, Munchalot
Birthday: January 27th 2007
Likes: My husband Ira, and hiding in boxes and bags, then springing out at his sister, or any human leg that goes by.
Pet-Peeves: Not being able to scam some of his sister's food, getting eye drops!!
Favorite Toy: The Laser pointer, a pink feathered boa, and a catnip filled cotton triangle.
Favorite Nap Spot: Anywhere on Daddy, preferably accross him
Favorite Food: He loves everything, and apparently has a nose for sniffing out sweets, which he's obviously not allowed to have!
Skills: BOING !! He flies over furniture, people on furniture, and can jump onto your back if you're bending to pick something up. He's also adept at using his cute pink nose to get out of trouble!
Arrival Story: I found a different cat online and my husband and I went to Pet Smart intending to meet him. That cat had zero interest in us, but Munch (then Mahoney) came over and instantly was attracted to my husband. He jumped on his lap, put a paw on either side of his neck, and kissed his chin. He wouldn't leave my husband alone...and he is so cute, there's no way we could turn him away! He assured us we'd made the right decision when he tried to follow us out of the shelter! He was delivered to our home a few nights later by the wonderful volunteers at Hope for Animals.
Bio: Munch was found in a parking lot in Staten Island by a really nice human who lived near our neighborhood. Although Munch was healthy, the man already had some animals with medical needs and couldn't manage more pets.
Munch is named after the Detective played by Richard Belzer on Law and Order. It's one of our favorite shows. He's grown into the name though, "munching" on any and everything he can carry around the house.
Mommy took Perri and I to the vets yesterday. I got some prodding, and stuff I'd rather not mention...nothing's up; it's just a follow up to make sure my bladder's doing well.
Me and Sis are good weights now. I hope this means we get to keep eating the same amount, or more, of our food! That would be AWESOME. =^.^=
They had to drag me out of my tote, but once I was out, I remembered how much I love (most of) the attention I get there. The ladies swoon over me and even though I shed my light brown hairs ALL OVER the place, I never hear complaints about it! It's really great to be called Handsome.
I didn't try to nip the vet this time when she examined my teeth...I was feeling pretty agreeable.
Mommy has been too diligent in interfering when I want to stalk and attack Perri. It's gotten so that when she picks up a stuffed toy to toss at me I immediately run the other way. But, she can't be home ALL The time...waaa haaa haaaa!!!!
I want to thank those of you who sent me gifts yesterday, it is really nice to be commemorated that way. My spirit is strong up here in Heaven, and I often send little reminders of myself down to Mommy and Daddy (and sometimes even Perri, who looks around and up as if she's reading the ceiling).
I can hardly wait until I'm reunited with the ones I love...but until then, I'm PLAY PLAY PLAYING all the time! I never get tired! I never get hungry! There are treats whenever I think about them though...and lots and lots of playmates!
I look down on my loved ones a lot. Perri often looks up and sees me. I remind her to keep playing and pestering Mommy and Daddy and pretty much everybody to play with her. They forgot how SMART she is and pretty soon, she's going to become a sous chef at a fancy restaurant, get a 401k plan, and start providing for Mommy and Daddy!
