Arrival Story:
Late one night as I was preparing supper on the grill at our campsite, I sensed that someone was watching me. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a very young adult red and white kitty that looked so sad and so hungry. He looked at me with those big sad eyes and my heart melted. I went into the camper and brought out a bowl of cat food for him, and he gobbled it up. Asking around, I found that nobody knew who this kitty was, or who owned him. Since there were coyotes in the area, I brought him into the camper for the night so that he would be safe. The next day we took released him outside and hoped that he would find his way back to his own home. Asking around more I found that there had been a police raid at a home near the campground, the residents were arrested and all their kitties had scattered all about in the raid. We asked around a little more and found that he had been pestering neighbors for food for several days. So back outside I went in pursuit of this sweet little red and white boy. KC found his forever home that day, and has lived with us ever since. KC is happy and enjoying life at the age of 16, but as many cats his age he has several ailments. He suffers from chronic pancreatitis and thyroid disease, but seems to be doing better on his medication.

Bio:
KC has some wonderful senior kitizen friends, Clownie and Baby, and is head over hindpaws in love with his sweet Clownie. On Friday, October 19. 2007,purring in the loving arms of his mom, KC gently slipped away from this life, and is eagerly waiting at the bridge with Trixie, BJ, Rusty, Tigger and Adonis to be reunited with the rest of his family.This is a poem dedicated to the memory of KC. PAWPRINTS Pawprints on the window, Pawprints at the door; Pawprints up and down the stairs, And all about the floor. In and out the kitchen, Underneath the bed; Pawprints on the counter, Waiting to be fed. Pawprints growing slower, As the years slip by; Sleeping at the window, Gazing at the sky. Pawprints in my memory, Running to the door; Pawprints etched into my heart, But in the house no more.

Ice cream is my middle name,
Is what Mom says to me;
Cause Ice cream is my favorite thing,
Of all the things to be.

She always saves a little,
In the bottom of her cup;
I wait for that so eagerly,
So I can lap it up.

Mom calls me her bandana man,
I wear them every chance I can!

I look so dapper you can see,
How everybody looks at me!
