Arrival Story: I HAVE BEEN ADOPTED!! I saw the catster information in the Globe article about the "underground railroad for cats and dogs". I had just made a folder for my Diary which is about coincidence, and this was for the next series of entries. On the cover I had actually put a Panda sticker by my signature! Now I was looking for a cat and there was Panda, and she was in a nearby shelter. A very sweet loving cat, I could tell! She needed a home. And I fell in love. The resti is her story!
Bio: I don't know much about Panda except she's been in and out of shelters for a long time. She was at Gifford for about a year and no one took her. I feel so lucky because she's such a wonderful cat and we do LOVE her, all of us, including my little grand daughter Madeline.
We've now had Panda for several months and I can say she truly lives for love. I call her my "MEWS" as she likes to sit on top of my desk while I am writing. I don't think there could be a more affectionate cat. She has a unique way of communicating with me which is: she has a little whale toy and she tosses it down the stairs so that when I am in the rest of the house it is very often at the bottom waiting for me when I go up to see her. It feels like her way of saying, I missed you, come and give me a hug!
She has added so much to our lives. I can say we all totally LOVE her!
Hi Panda WAS ADOPTED several months ago. I tried to update her profile but I guess I was unsuccessful.
We LOVE her. She is a super addition to our family. We feel she was waiting for US.
I just want to say this. She has a lovely new home and gets a ton of hugs every single day. This cat lives for love!
I totally recommend the Gifford Shelter in Brighton, very close to our home, for caring for stray cats and cats in need of good homes. She couldn't have got better care in all the time she sheltered with this wonderful charity.
I am a very cool kitty and live here (for now) at the Ellen Gifford Shelter. I like to nap, but when the mood strikes me I'll rub up against you, especially if you are a long-haired like me! I hide my face in your hair and purrrrr away.
These other cats don't understand how cool I truly am and keep stealing my favorite pillows by the window. I let them know to stop in my own Tortie way, but most of them just speak Tabby and don't understand what I am saying.
I have been at this shelter once before and now I'm back again. I really make the best of my situation no matter what. I am the one who has been at the shelter the longest. Going on 13 months now. Wheew, thank God it's a no-kill place!
I am waiting for my special person and won't settle for anyone else. Maybe it's you?
