2nd Anniverary

Today is my 2nd Bridge Anniversary. Mom wishes she could've taken the day off and stayed home with my siblings but she couldn't. I've seen her wipe her eyes a few times already and I know she is sad. I think it is a little easier on her this year than last but I know she is hurting. I hope that each year it gets a little easier for her when this day comes. I know she will always love me as I love her. That will never change.

Thank you to all who have remembered me and my family today. I know mom will thank each of you when she has time. It means a lot to her to know I haven't been forgotten. It means a lot to me too.

I look around at all the Angels and it helps me to have so many good friends here. We help each other as we wait for our families to join us.

Now I'm going to go watch over mom and give her whiskers kisses. I want her to know I miss and love her too.

The Day After......

Hello my friends...

Well mom and I made it through the "dreaded" day. Mom only cried a couple....well more like several times when she read the loving messages left for me and her and when she saw and read the rosettes I was given. She also cried when she lit a candle in my memory last night. I felt so bad for her but I think it was something she had to do.

Mom took the day off because she just didn't want to spend the day with people who don't understand or care about things like this the same way we do. She wanted to spend the day with my brothers and sisters.

For those of you who don't know, mom fosters for a kitty rescue group and has done this for about 6 years now. She really becomes attached to the fosters and several of my brothers and sisters are fosters she just couldn't give up. Mom has a big heart or soft spot or both, MOL. Anyway, it was time for one of her fosters,named Starr, to go to Petsmart. That is the part of fostering mom hates the most, when she has to take them, put them in a cage and they sit there for days, weeks and even months waiting to be adopted. Someone was supposed to come in and meet Starr but a lot of times that doesn't mean they will be adopted, just that someone is interested. Well, I had a plan in mind and this kitty was going to be adopted.

Mom had put him in the cage and was going to stay with him for a while to make sure he was settled in. She was about to walk out to get water for his dish and a lady was standing outside the cat room. Mom asked her if she was coming in and she said yes, I'm here to see Starr. She walks in and starts petting him and talking to him and I started my magic. Within 15 minutes, he was adopted. Before she left with Starr she thanked mom and gave her a hug. Mom was so happy and I had done what I set out to do. I made sure mom would always have a happy memory on one of the saddest days of her life. I can't take all the credit, a bunch of other Angels were there too helping to make this happen, and I thank you all for that.

Mom and I appreciate all the support and love all of you sent to us yesterday. It really helped us both. We couldn't ask for better friends. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Love, Baby and mom
