I was going to go to the shelter and pick up an adult cat - I was living on my own without roomates for the first time and was lonely - and he was standing there with his previous mommy who had him in a box with his sister. She said she had to give him away so I peeked in, he popped his little paws on the edge of the box and licked my nose. I was sold.
