Leave a treat for Pugsley

Nicknames: Pnut, P-Man, Pugs, Mr. P, Butthead, Bubba, Bubba Cat

Quick Bio:
Likes: Constant attention, Laxatone time, sleeping, puking

Pet-Peeves: Being stepped on, not being fed every hour on the hour

Favorite Toy: Booboo (Kitty Hoot)

Favorite Nap Spot: Bedroom doorway

Favorite Food: Poultry, dairy, tuna, wet cat food

Skills: He'll come when called, or if you even move the slightest bit or look anywhere near his direction. Has the uncanny ability to put himself in the position to kill you and make it look like an accident.

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story: A co-worker of my mom (whom I lived with at the time) was given Pugsley by another co-workers family that breeds Scottish Folds. They had an older male cat that did not take a liking to Mr. P. So they decided to give him up. My mom stepped in and offered to take him sight unseen. We got him when he was 6 months old, so I missed all the über-cute kitten moments, but it's all good.

Bio: He's a pure bred Scottish Fold. That's right. Even though his ears aren't folded, if bred, he could produce perfect folded-ear kittens. Thus, the agreement to have him neutered. I still think the "straight ears" are cuter anyway. Let the cat shows have the goofy looking ones. His dad was Tobee, aka "CH Quista Tobee McTavish".

On Saturday, February 25th 2006, we had to say goodbye to Pugsley. After almost 16 years of loyal petmanship, I made the hardest, most painful decision of my life so far. Pugsley's last few months weren't the best. He had lost even more weight (down to 5+ lbs), and was constantly dehydrated. After 2 bouts of subQ fluids in the previous week, he just wasn't resonding well. When I saw him that Saturday morning, I just knew. I knew it was time to let him go. He couldn't hold his head up, he was listing and losing his balance and he had no appetite whatsoever. At the vets, the vet confirmed that he was definitely in the latter stages of renal failure and this was the best option for him. It was peaceful and quick, for that I am thankful.
He was a great cat and he will be deeply missed.
