To all of Harriet's Friends:

I post today with sad new. We had to put sweet Harriet down today, but it was so peaceful for her. We pet and hugged, and kissed her, and held her until she fell asleep. She purred right until the very end.

The vet suspects that she suffered from cardiomyopathy, which basically is disease of the heart muscle.

We brought her home in a towel and her favourite clementine crate and buried her in the back yard. We are going to put a little memorandum garden over it for her, and I'm going to paint a little rock for her with her name on it, and put it out there. She really loved the backyard, running around out there.

She's going to be missed, but I feel very good that she went peacefully and happy.

We love you Harriet, we're going to miss you.

Mousing fun!

I caught and killed my first mouse today, EVER! I left it in front of my mother's computer room door, where I knew she would find it, and she fed me lots of treats. I might look for more of these mice things, if it's going to get me all this good stuff.

Look at me.

Jeez, all they are doing is spending time with that stupid fish today. All I want them to do is let me sit on their lap and watch tv, and have my ears scratched, and pet. But nooooooooo...they gotta spend all that time with Phil and clean his tank. I keep trying to tell them to pay attention to me, instead of him, and they keep getting mad at me for complaining so much. Maybe I better stop meowing, my mother doesn't look like she's gonna take any more of my fooling around today.
