Reflections

Yesterday was May 20 and it turns out to be a very lucky day. Firstly, our meowmie was born on May 20 and she turned out to be a furry nice lady who took me into a furever home and then adopted Bibi so I would not be alone. She knew I needed an older cat pal who could help me become a grown up cat. So thanks meowmie and thanks Bibi.

And now a special shout out to Tiny Tot, Mighty Moe and Callie because May 20 is their gotcha day and please read their story if you have not already because it is a really special gotcha that happened on May 20!

There were some famous people born on May 20 but how about any cats? They must be lucky too!

Fleas

To all our furriends-

There are still some big fleas flying around Catsterville these days. We try to get on the computer in the morning but find them very active - our furriends pages freeze up and we cannot send them p-mail or give presents or put comments on the diaries. So we try in the afternoon and have better luck, more or less. Some days we can only get to one furriend and then the flying fleas freeze up Catsterville like its zero degrees out there.

We've tried Firefox and Google and the fleas are with us no matter what. So if we have not been in touch and concatulating and commentating and present making, please know its those fleas getting in our way.

Does anyone have some flea powder?

The Mystery Is Solved

The mystery is solved, catster furriends. Spike is most definitely a cat. He arrived last night with his human who did not stay too long. His human is our "auntie" that I like a lot who took care of me when I was a tiny tot. I was miffed she did not stay to pet me.

Our auntie is moving out of state and Spike is following later this week. In the meantime he is our houseguest. I suppose this is not too bad but I surely would like to get into that room with him and give him a proper sniffing over!

Bibi is inexplicably scared by what is going on. Does she think our meowmie is going to ship one of us away too? Yikes! We own her-she can't!

Something is up . . .

I just know something is up. Meowmie cleaned up the spare room. She closed the closet door. She cut up some cardboard boxes. She moved the furniture into the corners and cut off most of the hiding places. She pulled out the spare cat bed and cleaned the litter boxes.

Could this be because she said a houseguest named Spike is coming tonight? She has petted me a whole lot and told me how much she loves me and that I am her special boy. I wonder what will happen tonight?

And my honorary St. Patrick's Day name is . . .

Zooming

zooming zooming I got my zoooming on

I'm getting braver!

I am definitely getting braver! This morning an electrician came to replace our fire/smoke detectors. I hid under the bed because I knew I would be in the way otherwise (cough cough cough).

When he left I came out and sniffed all the stuff he left behind while he went to get some more electrician stuff. I smelled various humans and d-o-g-s! I am very glad the d-o-g-s did not come as his helpers. This is the brave part because I came out right after he went away. Before I would have hid for a long time. Of course when he returned I vanished again but I came out when he left for good and meowmie told me how brave I am. Sigh! Got to love on meowmie a lot tonight!

Thank you to my Catster friends for the lovely presents. I had a great time jumping in the mistletoe and chasing snowmen. Your thoughtfulness really made my holiday great.

Brady Bunch

Yes-this entry is about what I can only call the Brady Bunch.

Last night the doorbell rang and there was an entire parade of children and adults trick or treating. Which I understand was going to happen. There was a little dragon and some witches and assorted other things looking for treats which was good because meowmie had plenty of candy.

Mixed up among all these people was our cat neighbor, Brady. You may remember Brady from a previous diary entry by Bibi (meowmie thought he would be her boyfriend!) Brady was with his pawrents and they dressed him up like a pumpkin. Well, not quite. But he had a cape with a pumpkin on it and he was in his stroller. Brady's daddy picked him up and meowmie and the neighbors petted him and oohed and aahed about how good he is. Which is okay because I certainly would not have been under the circumstances.

But I do feel pretty special because what other cat can say they had another cat come trick or treating for Caterwaulerweenie!
