Coloration: Gray Tabby
Likes: I love snuggling and smurgling and rubbing my face all over everything! I also like to talk a lot. Recently I've discovered that mice and rats and little baby bunnies are yummy!
Pet-Peeves: When Siouxsie hits me 'cause I want to get some petties from Mama while she's on the Lap.
Favorite Toy: I like anything that makes a lot of noise. Mousies with jingly bells, plastic things, crumply things...
Favorite Nap Spot: Wherever another cat is. Mama's bed. Oh, and I like windowsills, too. And snuggling with Dahlia!
Favorite Food: I'm not picky, I'll eat anything that's put in front of me.
Skills: Everything about me is special. And I'm a champion mouser. Rodents tremble when they hear my name!
Dwells:

Arrival Story: An editor at the newspaper Mama used to work for, has a friend who's on the board of a local no-kill animal shelter. One day this editor asked my mama if she'd like to foster a cat. That cat was me. I was left at the animal shelter with my two sisters when my former human got sick and had to go to a Nursing Home. We all were heartbroken, and we all got sick, but my sisters got better before me and I was left all alone in the isolation room. While I was there, the lady I now know as Mama came to visit me. She held me and petted me while I was so sick I could hardly move, she wiped the ickies off my nose, and she gave me the Warm Hands treatment (she calls it Reiki). I had to go back to the vet a few times because I was so sick I could hardly breathe, let alone eat. But the lady's love gave me something to live for. The people at the animal shelter tried to put me back with my sisters when I got better, but they didn't love me anymore and we fought all the time, so I had to go back to the animal shelter AGAIN. Finally, Mama came and rescued me! Even though I used up a few of my nine lives, I'm glad I made it and I'm living with Mama and Dahlia and Siouxsie. I miss Sinead a lot 'cause she was so nice to me.

My sisters Sinéad O'Kitty and Siouxsie Mew, and I, are blogging for animals in Blogathon 2006! Please sponsor us as we blog to raise funds for Noah's Wish, an organization dedicated to disaster relief efforts for animals. We'll answer your cat health- or behavior-related questions every half hour. If you want us to post photos, we can do that too. Join us on July 29-30 and get in on the fun--and help the animals, too. Purrrrrrrrrrs to all of you. Spread the word far and wide!
Mama, the bringer of food, dispenser of love, and our loyal secretary/typist for our weekly advice column, Paws and Effect, is going to be at a fund-raiser for the Camden-Rockport Animal Rescue League, a no-kill shelter located in midcoast Maine.
The second annual Strut Your Stuff Cat Show and Photo Contest will take place Saturday, June 10, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, located at the corner of Pearl and John Streets in Camden, Maine. Cat show judging will take place from 10 a.m.-noon, a Kiddie Kitty costume parade will happen from noon-1, and pet health seminars and book signings will take place from 1-3 p.m.
Mama will be there in her capacity as an animal communicator (she can communicate telepathically with kitties, because we trained her so well), and she will be selling merchandise from the Paws and Effect Boutique at CafePress. She's also going to put together some booklets about common cat behavior issues to sell to people who come to the show.
Mama adopted me from the Camden-Rockport Animal Rescue League, so she's glad to give something back to the animal shelter that saved my life and made sure I had a loving home! *purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*
If you live anywhere near Camden, Maine, we hope you'll come and visit Mama on June 10 and help the Rescue League raise money to help other kitties!
I got my first Paws and Effect letter last week! Paws and Effect is an advice column that my sisters Sinead and Siouxsie write every week (http://www.paws-and-effect.com), and the site has lots of other cool stuff for cats and their humans on it.
Not only that, but we've just opened a Paws and Effect Boutique at CafePress (http://www.cafepress.com/pawsandeffect) to sell goodies that will help us support Mama while she works so hard for us AND help animal rescue organizations in our local area (midcoast Maine). We've got some beautiful black cat designs and designs featuring artwork by Monica Richards, artist, author and half of the wonderful band Faith & the Muse. Mama says that she'll have some stuff with my picture on it soon. *hope, hope*
