I Am Proud To Announce...

Today I am proud to announce the acquisition of my third name! For as all CATS fans know, a cat must have three different names - not that this third name is, in fact, my Third Name,

*The name which no human research can discover
But the cat himself knows
And will never confess... *

But now I'm probably just confusing most of you. The IMPORTANT thing is that my name is

JILLIAN MICA MALUENDA,

and that I have now been named after two books and a mineral. How many of you can say that??

HEY everybody! I'm Jilly! I'm a black cat and proud of it, so hisses to you, all you superstitious people.

I haven't had the easiest life, I guess - in and out of homes, not to mention ear mites and pink eye and gingivitis and a bunch of other stuff I can't pronounce - but none of it was really that bad. The end result is that I'm affectionate and bold and always, always curious - but not too snuggly, at least not yet. I trust that you're a kind person, but I'm not quite sure that I believe you when you say we're gonna stay together forever.

I'm pretty mild about most things, like meeting new people and riding in the car and getting picked up... when I feel like it. I just shrug and wait for whatever happens next. But when I wanna play - I wanna PLAY! Then I love darting around the house and batting things all around. I'm not particularly careful or coordinated, so lots of stuff falls over, and then there's lots of arm-waving and sharp noises, but that doesn't stop me for long.

My new big brother's okay - for a big brother. He's kind of a lazy lump sometimes, so I like to tease him. He's all roly-poly.

Anyway, I think I hear the food bowl calling. Gotta scat!
