Arrival Story:
An older couple found Vespa, sickly and alone and just a few weeks old. They nursed her back to health, and then took her to our vet in early June because they couldn't keep her. She was checked over, tested, immunized and treated for fleas. Our vet called us and asked us to foster her, since, gee whiz, we had lost our Marley a few months before and only had 7 more cats in our new, and much smaller than before, home (lol). Within a few weeks, our cats had accepted her and now they sit around scratching their heads, wondering how that sweet little baby had totally taken over the household.

Bio:
Vespa is a very sweet girl, but she also is very determined when she wants to learn something. She has mastered getting on to the bathroom counters, and has now mastered getting onto the kitchen counters, which are a few inches higher. Her next goal appears to be stopping the pesky second hand on the wall clock in the living room... She is not a cuddly kitten, but does keep an eye on her mom and almost always stays nearby. Vespa was obviously separated from her kitty mom at an early age and often suckles on a fleece blanket as she falls asleep. Vespa has her own little fan club of people that come by to see her and watch her grow. She will be our last "foster failure" (We haven't kept them all - really! We've sent many fosters to their forever homes) but we will enjoy loving her and spoiling her as we do with our other kitties.
