Some things stay the same

Hi Kittsters! First of all, let me tell you how thankful I am to all of you who continue to send me well wishes and notes and pressies. The ol' paw-secretary has been off the job lately and between my Catster page being all messed up and the computer.....well, let's just say I'm glad to be back on!!!
I've received alot of the up-dates and goings on here at Catster. I was sorry to see that our friend Ashley has gone to the Bridge. I must say, he is one LOVED kitty and his parents must miss him so. I still have your pink polo, bud!
So.... things are still the same around here. I still climb up to the tippy top of my cat tree and lie in wait for Pebbles to stroll by. Then I pounce on her and we roll all over the carpet. Fun! I still wait for Tina to get done with the shower so I can get in there and roll around on the wet tile. Super! I still go to Animal Hospital of Cotati once a week for a daily dose of visiting and petting. I get to stay up front in the office and say "hi" to everyone! Great!
Nothing will change the special bond between me and my Tina. She still fusses over me all the time and scritches my ears and tummy and gives me belly kisses!
I have been feeling fine, just a couple of problems here and there. I have a "butt" problem right now.....but that always was an area that gave me grief.
I am sooooo thankful once again to all of you who have never forgotten me and still find time to check in with me ever so often. Thank You from the bottom of my heart, I wish you all the very best!
Your pal, Addie

My new favorite stuff

Hi Catsters!!!
Now that my Tina and I are all settled in our new home, I have a few fun things to occupy myself. I'll pass them along to you kitties in case you haven't tried this stuff already!
My first fun thing: Wait for Tina to finish in the shower (geeeezzz she takes FOREVER!) and when she's finally outta there, I hop in and roll around all over the shower floor! I suggested she get me a "kitty pool", but she says "no". And, if she leaves the wet towel on the floor, which she is apt to do now....I hop on IT and roll around some more. I am a WATER CAT!

My second favorite thing: My Tina has a candy dish filled with candy and M&M's and silly stuff in the guest bedroom......well I've found a fun thing to do with candy that nobody wants. I take it piece by piece and drop it into the dog's water bowl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! That way silly little Pebbles eats it up and gets diarrhea!!!!!! HAHAHAHA!!!! Soooooooo funny!!! If you have a little gullible dog you should try it, it's a great way to pass the time. She gets in trouble and YOU don't, it's fun!!!

That's all the tips I have for now as far as fun new stuff to pass the time, which I am totally enjoying. Tina says I can visit the next spay/neuter clinic at Forgotten Felines on Jan. 30th, so if my paw-secretary is on the ball she will snag a few photos of me. Meow at ya' all later, Addie

My Christmas Wish

Hi everykitty! I know most of you have probably seen the video of me and my Tina in our new home, but I posted it anyway in case you haven't! Like she says, "now I am a house-cat". AHHHH......music to my ears....."house-cat". You probably already know what my Christmas Wish is......that every kitty and doggy in a shelter could be a "house-pet" for the rest of their lives!! And I know that my story inspired many of you to adopt a shelter kitty and volunteer in your local shelters!!! Wow, way to go!!!!!!
Soooo......I know that my paw-secretary has been pretty bad about getting back to all of you who have sent me rosettes and gifties and nice thoughts. I need a full time paw-secretary, I DO!!!! So I am asking her to send out a big THANK YOU to all of you who have followed my story this past year and I especially want you all to know how much each of your stories, thoughts, and purrs have meant to me. You will never know how much you have touched my heart!
Do you see how big I am getting??? And.....do you see me pouncing and playing right near Gabrielle, the million pound doberman pinscher??? Well.....guess who won her over??? ME!
I want to send out a big I LOVE YOU to all of you, please take care of your Moms & Dads, giving them lots of purrs and headbutts. And Angels, please keep looking down upon us and tossing those happy memories right into our hearts! Smoochie kisses to all of you, Addie

I went to a PARTY!!

Wow!! I know it's been quite a while since I've written in my dairy and I apologize for that. It's been a little hectic and there hasn't been alot of new stuff happening around here since Tina decided to keep me as her forever kitty!
Till now.......that is! I went to a Party the other night!! It was the Forgotten Felines Volunteer Appreciation Holiday Party!! And, as you can imagine, all those terrific volunteers are reallllyyyy appreciated, 'cause without them there wouldn't be a Forgotten Felines. Well, I was invited!!!!!! They had a cage all set up for me so I could join in the festivities, and they had toys from all of you guys and toys that were sent to me from all around the world gathered EVERYWHERE! They had a map of the world with little black kitty stickers marking all the countries folks had contacted us from regarding ME!! They had cards and letters and all sorts of things people had sent to me on display!!! The lady who first rescued me, Sarah, was there and she got a great plaque recognizing her kindess and heroism for saving me. The little boy who pulled me from the burnt trap and rushed me to Sarah was there too!!! He got a standing applause from everyone and a check for $10,000 for coming forward and telling what happened to me! He was very shy and nervous just being there.....but I will be forever thankful and grateful to him for what he did!!!! Special kitty purrs and licks to him forever from me!!!!!!! Dr. Alexander was there too! She is the fantastic surgeon who donated her surgery time to get me back into fighting shape! Without her I won't look as handsome as I do!! I just love her and she got a beautiful painting of me done by a Forgotten Felines staff member who just happens to be a great artist!
And, of course, my beautiful Tina was there with me. She got a beautiful painting of me, too. Tina was thrilled with that!! And I got a HUGE cat tree with all sorts of Christmas kitty toys hanging all over it.....I L-O-V-E it and it's my favorite thing now!!!!!! What a special night!!!!!
They presented a slide show of lots of other cats and kittens who found homes through Forgotten Felines and slides of feral kitties and their caretakers caring for them. Very touching....*sniff*sniff*
So.....after the closing of the event, when it was time for everyone to go home, Tina took me out of my cage and held me while some folks came up to greet me and pet me and just cuddle me!!! I loved it, but I have to admit I felt safest when in my Tina's arms. You guys wouldn't recognize me now!!!! Well, except for my short ears and missing tail and some missing hair on my back.....I have long hair now!!! I am a long-haired kitty!!!!!!! Who knew???? They took plenty of pics so I will get them posted asap!

So I want to wish all you kitties and your terrific Moms and Dads a very happy holiday season! I hope all you kitties out there appreciate your families and show them lots of lovin' and smoochin' ! And all you kitties up there at the Bridge, I want to thank you for watching over all of us and sending so many memories and happiness to everyone you've touched. As you all know, you mean the world to me and I love you all. Addie

It's Official!!!!!!!!

Hi all purr pals!!! Some of you may have heard....it's official!!!! I am now a proud member of Tina's brood!!!! How did this come about, you ask? It may have been the "bedroom eyes" (that always does the trick), or the sweet purry nothings I meowed in her ear, or the way I gaze lovingly into her eyes "just because". Whatever it was, she finally realized she couldn't live without me! Wo-hoooo, I am just about the happiest cat on earth, I think! So now this is my life: I get up in the morning and Tina hawls the 2 dogs into the car and me in my carrier, and off we go to work! I get to stay up in the front office sometimes and be the greeter for the Animal Hospital, which is a way cool job! And alot of the time I am in the back running and doing flips with my pal, Louie (we have run of the place). After I've "worked" all day long, I make the trip back home (ah.....HOME) and I play and lounge and watch some t.v. and take a tumble or two with Pebbles. Then I curl up on the bed and sleep through the night. Then the whole thing starts all over again the next day!
Now you may want to know how Louie (the little gray & white formerly feral fella) is doing. I think he has found a home in the Animal Hospital community and will be sharing some valuable one on one play time with me!! We can still be best buds and have a blast while Tina is working!
As for the girls who commited this crime against me, they plead guilty and are awaiting their sentencing. I hope they get some kind of help so they can understand this is something that should never happen to any animal, ever. Maybe they can turn their lives around and make something good out of something that began in such a terrible way.
So......I have a terrific ending to a very long journey. My only wish is that all kitties and doggys out there in need would have happy endings to their stories and find homes and someone to love them forever, too.
And, of course, I want to thank Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County for helping me, and Dr. Alexander and the docs at Animal Hospital of Cotati, and all the donations everyone has sent (money and clothes and TOYS!!!), and the wonderful Catster community for always being there for me with purrs and support. I will keep you up-dated on my life from time to time and post new pics so you can keep track of my growth spurts. I hope you will all keep me posted on yourselves, because you have grown to mean so much to me! Oh, and by the way......my nickname is "Addie"!!!
I love you all, Addie

Boy, oh boy, have I been tagged!!!!

Wo-hooo!!!! I have been tagged by a whole bunch of my kitty friends! What great friends you all are! I have been tagged by my friend Hank, the hairless wonder-cat, Morgan the Pirate Gato, who is my mentor, Little Bit, who was kind enough to send me my boogy mat, Lucy Goosey, my little black and white girlfriend, Galin, a black kitty lucky enough to be rescued as a wee baby, Heckyl, a lucky guy to have found a home very young, too. Aislen, another of my sweet black kitty pals, K.C., the only kitty I know who has a cool blue stroller! Snowie, a tough kitty who is blessed with great parents, and Butter Lover Boomer who was smart enough to choose the parents he did! Thanks to all you kitties for checking in with me from time to time! If I had it my way, I would tag all you kitties who have followed me through my whole ordeal, sending good kitty wishes and giftys and purrs my way. But, I have to choose only TEN, so here goes:

1. Chatty Kathy- she was my first kitty friend on Catster and she knows me personally.....kind of.
2. Ashley Needing your Prayers- he is my bud and is always there for me and I wish him all the best. He is a great guy. (I still wear your pink polo, bro).
3. Chai- she and Little Bit sent me my boogy mat and always meow a little purr my way.
4. Oliver - my bud who sent me his little blue shirt after he shrank it just for me.
5. Solan (missing)- because someday, somewhere, I hope your family finds you. I know they will re-connect with you one day.
6. Cole (gone too soon)- because you were a little fighter, my bud.
7. Ashley (Always Late)- because you are a silly black kitty and you wear smoochie lips!
8. Notorius N.I.G.- no one should have to fight to keep their name. You go guy!!
9. Morris O'Malley- he is a great guy and my paw-secretary has a crush on him.........
10. Basil (remembered with love)- you were a tough kitty who hung in there for so long before you were rescued and gave so much to your humans.
So there, those are the kitties I am tagging, but as I said I wish I could tag you all because you mean so much to me! Love, Adam

It ain't easy being a super-model!

Well, as you all know, I spent yesterday modeling some of the gifts you generous and very gracious kitties sent to me! Whew!!!! Let me tell you........it ain't easy work being a super-model!! Now don't get me wrong......I L-O-V-E all the pressies and shirts and toys and snackies and stuff you all have sent to me, that is the FUN part!!!!!!! The not so fun part was having the rather pushy photographers around all day telling me what to do!!!!!! A little too much "Adam, lift your head a little to the right" and "Adam, sit up straight" got to be a little too much for me and I got realllllly tired. I got a little cranky toward the end of the shoot and the photographers couldn't get me to do much of anything after awhile!!!! Sorry about that, but I am still a little guy and I got all worn out!!!
And then Pebbles tried to horn in on my modeling stint and that just tossed me over the edge!!!!! There SHE is, playing with one of MY shirts!!!!!!!
Now, let me tell you about some of the gifts I recieved. My dear friend Ashley sent me his fav pink polo shirt which doesn't quite fit him anymore. As you can see, it doesn't quite fit me either.......I need to do some power growing! But don't you worry bud, I WILL fit into that shirt! Ashley is a courageous kitty who is battling liver and kidney failure and he is a tough fighter! He is getting tons and tons of kitty purrs and prayers from all of us here at catster. The smart looking blue tee you see me modeling? Well.....that's from my little bud Oliver. He personally shrunk his own shirt to fit me! Thank you, Oliver! He probably felt he could spare a shirt......his mom buys him clothes all the time!!!!!!! MOL!!!! And then there's Hazel Lucy, everykitty's auntie. She personally made me a beautiful tranquility blanket. I feel verryyyy tranquil when I'm laying on it! In fact, at the end of my shoot, I passed out on it!Thanks to Chai and Little Bit for the cool boogy mat, I LOVE it!!!!!!! My little friend Louie has even tossed it around a bit and taken a little snooze on it!
Sorry about the neck-tie...............that's when I got really cranky and wouldn't make any more costume changes. I DID wear it recently though and Tina said I looked very handsome!! Maybe when I'm not cranky I will let them get a pic of me wearing it.
Sooooo.....anyway, I want to thank you all so very much again for all the purrs and prayers and support you have given me. I included the newspaper's latest video of me with my Tina in case some of you haven't seen it. You can see how much I have grown since I have been on catster! It looks like Tina has not made her decision yet, and that is upsetting to alot of you. You see, she is so accustomed to helping other kitties in need, and if me moving to another loving home means she can help another kitty, then I would be willing to give up my Tina. I could do that! After all, I love all people .......they are so great! You all mean the world to me and I love you all sooooo much! Purrs, Adam
And.....I would like to send a big purrs out to Megan, the fantastic photographer who had to put up with me all day! Thanks for letting me cuddle in your arms afterward!!!!!!!

The taming of "Louie"

August 29th 2007 4:49 pm

Hi purr friends!! Some of you have been asking about my little friend, "Louie". The staff at Animal Hospital of Cotati gave me the job of taming him down....since of course, who would have more knowledge of feral kittens than moi......being a formerly feral kitten myself!
He's a little guy.......about 7 or 8 weeks old. I have been "working" with him for a couple of weeks now. And, I have to say he is doing very nicely. (I posted a pic of him and me chillin' at the Hospital on my 2nd pic page). At first he was VERY afraid and all alone and was hissy and spitty at everyone! I told him not to spit at my Tina, because she is so very extra special, but he DID!!!
He came to the Animal Hospital because a couple of nice ladies found him and wanted to have him checked out healthwise to see if he was o.k. Well......they weren't really looking for another kitty themselves but the staff here at the Animal Hospital thought he was just too cute for words....so the lucky little guy was assigned over to ME for the business of taming him so he can find a home of his own. He has everything I don't have.....a set of perky stand up ears and a looooong tail! I have to admit he has been good company for me......this is the first time I have had a buddy of the feline persuasion and I must say I am enjoying playing with him. Tina even says I don't fuss anymore when she leaves me, because I have my little bud Louie to hang with!
So anyway, that's about all the news I have for now. I am still healing just fine and "helping out" at Forgotten Felines spay/neuter clinics when I can! I'm going to be doing a photo shoot very soon modeling some of my new t-shirts and I will post them asap so you kitties can see 'em!!! Purrs, Adam

Some answers to good questions!

Hi all kittsters! Some of you have been pawmailing me with some good questions about my condition and where I'm heading health-wise from here! So, I thought maybe I should just up-date you all since you are all so very nice and still concerned enough about me to ask!
I posted a pic of my "baboon-butt". ( I hid it on my 2nd pic page because it's not that lovely to look at). It's still swollen and red right now but it will lessen in time and maybe I might need a little "tuck" further down the road to help it look less protruded. But my poops are good, I'm not having any problems there! My bod is tight from the skin grafts, so tight in fact that I can't bend over to lick my privates, which is a good thing, Tina says, 'cause I might be lickin' too much at them if I could! My back is bald right now from the last skin graft, but that "took" just fine and I won't need any more surgeries for that! The skin graft will stretch with me as I grow so that won't be a problem, either. My fur is growing back in different colors, some of it is gray and some white......now I am a mulit-colored cat, maybe they should call me a "parti-cat", I am very unique!
Some of you nice kitties have sent me PRESSIES!!! I got some t-shirts and toys and catnippy and even some spending $$$ to take my Tina out for a little treat on me!! That is just sooooo very nice of you! I am having my personal photographers get on the job asap to take pics of me modeling a few of my shirts! One very well dressed kitty sent me his own little blue shirt (he shrank it just to fit me!) and another kitty sent me his pink polo shirt because he can't wear it anymore...he is losing weight because he is dealing with kidney problems. That is just sooooo very touching to me and I am sending purring thoughts to him every minute I am awake!!!
So, once again, all you kitties have touched my heart and made me feel so warm and special! You have sent me little notes and given me tons of rosettes, steakies, shrimpys and stars.......I hope my paw-secretary has been on the job and returned my thanks to you because I really do appreciate all your thoughts and messages, they mean the world to me and everyone at Forgotten Felines!!!!!! Once again, all my purrs and licks, Adam

They took my WHAT???????????

Well as you all know I had the expected "pooper" surgery yesterday to repair my rectum. I am obviously fine as I am able to enter this diary entry this evening. The surgery went well, I awakened from the anesthetic "kneading", I'm told (don't remember that, I was a little woozie), but then they broke the news to me. Something they neglected to tell me, or maybe it slipped their minds, was that they took my.........my.....testicles!! I just feel.....well........sort of...empty!!! I KNOW I don't need them, there are too many kittens looking for homes in shelters already....it's just maybe they could have warned a guy!!! I have to admit I feel a little deflated.
But, I did get to go to spay/neuter clinic at Forgotten Felines today, where my Tina works on her days off, and I "helped" too. First, I took a mid-morning nappy, then I chased a fly around my cage, then I posed for some photos (coming soon), then another afternoon nappy, then some cuddling with Tina before we went home. Where of course, I had to plan the "strategy" of attacking Pebbles, the chihauhua, once again. Doggies are such fools for this, first I position myself on the couch, then "un-suspecting" Pebbles walks by, and I POUNCE! We roll and tumble across the floor and then we start the whole game again! If you have a doggy you should try this, or if you don't, borrow one......they are just silly for this sort of fun!
So anyway, I think I still have a baboon-butt, but what the heck! I can't see it and it works just fine, so there! Thank you so much again for all the good wishes and thoughts coming my way, I am ever so grateful! Yours always, Adam
