Arrival Story:
Well, my boyfriend already had his little boy kitty, Kyoki, and I've always wanted a kitten of my very own. When I got my own apartment, the first thing on my list was to find my kitten. But thre were none to be found! I had to wait until kitten season (NOT an easy thing to do, let me tell you.) Then, at the wee beginnings of kitten season, I went to the Mid-Michigan Cat Rescue adoption event to find only one litter of kittens there! Would I find the baby kitten that was meant to be in that litter? Most of them were spoken for, with only two were still available for adoption! I went to meet them, and they were just the most adorable, active, mischeivious kittens anyone could ask for! How would I choose? Well, I wanted to be active with my future cat, leash train it, and go on walks outdoors with it. I know that often cats don't have the endurance for long walks, so they often hitch a ride on Mom's shoulder! What better way to choose between the two remaining kittens than to test and see which one would stay on my shoulder the longest? Well, it turned out that spunky gray tabby kitten stayed perched on my shoulder longer, and it was then that I knew she was the one. I signed the paperwork and took her home in her new carrier. She meowed the whole car ride home! I set her down in the middle of the living room in her carrier to get her aquainted with her new brother Kyoki-kun. She was so shiney and beautiful! A regular killer fuzzball! Be still my heart, I've loved her ever since. My boyfriend and Kyoki-kun especially were quite taken with her also. Nothing has been the same ever since, it's better! All mice beware, Kana-chan is here!
