Chasing a piece of string, rolling around on his back, shredding paper, helping me "make the bed," and bringing his favorite toy (a porcupine) to bed with us at night. He also loves sleeping with us - actually sleeps under the covers with us in winter!

Arrival Story:
We adopted Rufus in January of 2006 from an animal shelter housed in Petco. Evidently his previous owner got married and her husband was allergic...not sure how much they tried to find him another home, because they ended up taking him to the ACC, where he got sick (of course!) and was on the list to be put down - a beautiful, friendly, affectionate cat like him!! Lucky for all of us, he was adopted by a woman who goes to the "kill" shelters and adopts as many cats as she can (those who she thinks stand a good chance of being adopted). She then fosters them and works with the shelter at Petco to find homes for them. I knew when I saw him that he was the one for us! I picked him up and he got comfy right up over my shoulder like he'd been there 100 times before. We took him home the very next night.
