Arrival Story:
I am the most loving cat you are likely to meet. I love people and all cats. I had a pretty tough start to life. My mummy abandoned me when I was only 4 weeks old. I was found in a bin, all wet and cold. The Vet made me better but couldn't save my right eye, my left eye is not the best either. Then they found out that I had a heart murmur and was FIV positive, but that's not going to stop me. Karen, a lovely Vet nurse hand fed me until I was strong enough. But she couldn't keep me because of my FIV and I went to live with Kurt and his other cat Baggy. Baggy has since gone to a better place but I have now got three other furry friends as well as three human friends. I have since learnt to climb trees and catch bugs, (not birds as I love them) I even learnt to use a cat flap recently.

I found out I have cancer about 4 weeks ago, initially, I couldn't have Chemo because my kidneys were so affected and the vets I was going to were rubbish. They did absolutely nothing to help me and did unneccessary procedures. My new vet put me on Steriods and subq fluids which has given a 10th life. I have responded so well with it, the vet now think I may be able to have chemo afterall. I find out tomorrow if it's chemo or pallative care. So please keep me in all your thoughts.Update 18/12/07, so I never got chemo treatment but I have had 4 months of very normal life. The medications kept me very well and the vet couldn't believe I was ill at all. I got stuck up trees and had play fights with my brother boots. However, I think the drugs have ran it's course and I am really thin now. I am hardly eating and it'll soon be time for my to cross the bridge to be with my old friend Bagpuss again, as well as all the new friends I have met on Catster. Wally and Rufus, hope you guys kept your promise and saved me somewhere soft.

Cat of the Week! Me?

Thank you all soooo soooo much for all your gifts and mails. It has certainly soften the blow for my parents knowing I am Cat of the week and getting plenty of respect here at the bridge. I have been here for two and and half weeks now and made lots and lots of new friends here. Definitely gotten used to having two eyes and no longer fly into things.

Think my parents are still missing me though, I can see them crying sometimes.

My earthly body has been retuned to them, as ashes. I think they are talking about scattering them in my favorite garden. Which sounds nice.

Pops, Boots and Jancy have been fighting lots. They have never liked each other and i was always their mutual link. I got on with all 3 of them. But now I am not there anymore, they seem to find more excuse to pick on each other and have massive fights, which upsets my mommy.

Anyway, got to show my new friend Shelby around.

So thanks again and till next time

Thank you

Thank you all so so much for all the comments you left at the forum, all the pm, all the presents. I am getting used to life with 2 eyes now and feeling very welcome by all the new friends I have met here.

Think mommy and daddy have been finding it very hard today. Especially at feeding time as i was such a nibbler and was always by the food bowls. I think boots is a bit sad too, as I was the only one that would play with him. Pops's been very sweet to them, but I think he is after the top cat spot that has recently been vacanted by yours truly.

I am heading over to watch over Shelby now as she is having blood, me and Rufus are flying over together, it's my first time in the USA.

Thank you all again.

Crossing the bridge

I crossed the bridge around 9 tonight. It was a very peaceful crossing. Daddy's friend who is a vet, the same vet who saved my life as a 4 weeks old kitten came to the house. I was definitely ready to cross. I was in the living room, on my favorite blanket. Pops and Boots were in there too. Jancy didn't want to come in. I was given a little help and slowly felt asleep in daddy's arms while mommy stroked me.

I've got 2 eyes now and don't really know what's going on. Wally met me at the gate with my new wings, I am still getting used to them.

Thank you everyone for all you PM, and presents. I will go through them properly over the next few days and thank you all individually.

Thank you so much for all your support.
