It's Friday!

Hot or cold? Mother Nature, please make up your mind!

Hi everyone! It's me, the Frito Bandito.

The weather here in Southern California can be very strange to our family since we're originally from Ohio. It doesn't seem "right" to be warm in January. The weather has been fluctuating from warm to cold lately and it's very odd!

I am doing great! I like to sit in the window and watch BIRDS. They don't think I can get them, but if I was allowed to go outside, I would certainly try! They are fast and fun to watch!

My new little sister

A couple of weeks ago I saw a brown tabby cat outside my patio window. She wasn't very big. She seemed like a nice kitty. We were looking at each other when Mommy came home. I heard Mommy talking to that kitty. Mommy loves kitties. I had no idea she would actually bring that kitty inside!

I wasn't very happy at first. We had just lost our buddy, Mackie. I was still very sad. Sometimes I would call out his name to see if he would come out of the other room or jump down from the cat tree. But he wasn't there. Oh how I missed my buddy. How could Mommy bring this new cat into our house?!?

They named this new kitty Jessie. She's a girl. I didn't like her at all. She smelled different than Cheese or Mackie. She wanted to play with my tail. How dare she! She even wanted to eat the snacks I like! Horrors!!

Then I learned Jessie was a nice kitty. Mommy and Daddy were so kind to take her in. I was the new guy when I first came to live with Mackie and Cheese. They didn't like me at first, either. Jessie and I like to play some now, and I think I'm going to like her. She's active and likes to play like I do. We even took a nap on the bed together the other day. I didn't get too close; girls are icky. I think I will be OK with her eventually.

It's the Holiday Season

Hi everyone! Sorry it's been so long since I've had a diary entry. I have been very busy watching birds, chasing a moth and, well, sleeping.

As the song says, it's the holiday season. I am hoping I get a nice helping of snacks and catnip from Santa this year. He usually brings us something fun! Last year we got a whole stocking full of toy mice. It was awesome.

My brothers Macaroni and Cheese are doing just fine. Mackie likes to steal my snacks but I'm learning to be faster at eating them so by the time he finishes his, mine are gone and he can't get any more. Ha ha! Cheese is my buddy. Sometimes we play or sleep near each other.
