Arrival Story:
I found Frankie while walking back from the mailroom at my apartment complex in Dallas. I asked him if he was the daddy of the kittens I found near my apartment. He proudly said, "Meow!" I petted him for a while and then he followed me back to my apartment. I brought him some food, but what he really wanted was to get belly rubs and give nose kisses. I brought him inside, where he happily joined the rest of the family. Frankie and Bubba got along really well from the beginning, but he had to work a little harder to win over Rayanne. Daisy wanted to play with him and couldn't understand why he kept smacking her in the head. They get along pretty well now too.

Bio:
Frankie was pretty messed up when I found him. He was unneutered and had been fighting. He was covered in cuts and scratches. The bite wound on his ear was badly infected. The vet had to shave part of his head to clean it out (he was so embarassed). He had to wear a cone on his head for several days. He really hated that. About a month after I found Frankie, we got some very bad news -- he tested positive for FIV. I already lost a kitty to FeLV and I was really upset when I got the test results. But after more research, I learned it's not as bad as FeLV. He gets extra hugs and kisses to keep him healthy. We're going on 3 years now and he's doing really well.
