Arrival Story:
I went to Petsmart one day and saw simon up for adoption. I was with my roommate at the time and I thought he was just beautiful! However we left, we only got a few blocks away and I turned the car around and went back to the store. There was a woman holding him and he was so laid back just soaking up the attention. I waited and waited and waited until the the gal running the adoptions asked if there was a cat I wanted to see. I said, "yes that one" I pointed to the one the woman was holding. The woman didn't want to hand him to me and finally she did. So I held him and he did the same thing as with the other woman soaking up the attention. The adoption gal asked me what I thought and I said, "I'll take him!" I fell in love with him instantly!

Simon has one eye, I came home one night and noticed he was not himself, I looked at him and noticed his eye was shut, so I took him to the vet and they checked him out and told me his eye couldn't be saved. So he became a one-eyed kitty, which didn't stop him a bit. Simon has a very loving personality and we love him dearly. Tragically we lost Simon back in October 2009, just before Halloween. he became very ill and when we took him to the vet we found out his kidneys were failing. We tried to keep him going and it looked like he he took a turn for the better, but within a couple of days he became very sick again. We were only left with one option and it was a very hard day to say the least. I held Simon in my arms that day he left this world. Simon was such a special kitty to us all! He holds such a special place in my heart. I still miss him to this day.
