Goodbye, Moonlight

This is Moonlight's mom. Moonlight passed over the bridge tonight, June 17th 2007. She will be sorely missed.

I haven't written here in a long time, but I have been pretty busy! We live in a house now, and the new person has a DOG. Can you believe it? Of course, I was mortally offended when I first met him, but now I've decided he can stay, since he does act with proper decorum. Ollie says the dog is fun to cuddle with--can you IMAGINE? I would much rather sleep atop a sleeping human, thank you!

It sounds as though I've been nominated for Cat of the Month in one of my groups, Black Beauties. I am honored by the nomination! Of course, all of the nominees are gorgeous black felines.

Our New Home

As you might have read in Tag's diary, we live in a new place now. I like it quite a bit. It's bigger, and there's more windows for me to look out. Lots of birds outside! There's feral cats, too... I feel sorry that they don't have warm homes, but then I get mad when they scare off the birds. Those're my birds to scare!

Mrrrhello. *yaaaaaaaawn* I'm Moonlight, and I guess this is my diary. Not a terribly original name I've got, but it's mine, and my adopted mom was kind enough to let me keep it. I've been through a lot... Well, I'm a pound cat, so I've got a Past. But none of that matters anymore. I live in a good home. I love to get attention, and I glare at the squirrel that mocks me through the glass door. 'Course, I'd never hurt him...just chase him away. Silly birds, too; they come to the bird feeders on the balcony and I love to charge the door and make them scatter! I much prefer food in a dish than raw, though, so no hunting for me! Heh...not that I'd be all that successful. I'm rather...big-boned. Lots of me to love, which is why I need so much attention, mrrrew!
