Arrival Story:
We purchased Cosmo (he's a Canadian, by the way) to be a playmate for Radar who pestered our little girl A LOT. Our little girl was very ill and just couldn't handle a baby with Radar's energy. So we figured another kitten would be a good distraction and home came baby Cosmo. Radar and Cosmo were only eight months apart in age so we hoped they would really bond. They did! Radar mothered little Cosmo from the moment they were introduced. Radar even gave up sleeping with us when baby Cosmo came home and slept with him in his special little room since the little guy had to be confined because of his diarrhea issue. It tuned out little Cosmo came home with a very rare parasite and his first 8 months with us were a living nightmare. I won't give the gory details but let's put it this way, it was so bad that he could not use the litter box unassisted and even WITH assistance he usually required a bath after each bowel movement. He usually got four baths or more a day. We had his litter pan enclosed and there was a doorway with a bell he had to go through to get in it. When we heard the bell we went running the help him in hopes of avoiding another bath. It cost a fortune and was emotionally draining but you just couldn't help but love this little boy. He's such a charmer! We wouldn't trade any of it. We love him so much and he is so special! We would do it all again if that's what it took to have our little Momo. How do you resist a little boy that looks at you with so much love in his eyes? And when he wants to be picked up and held, which is MOST of the time, he stretches up your leg and hops up and down until you reach under his front legs and pick him up--just like a little kid. How do you resist that?! Melts our hearts every time! OUR VERY SAD UPDATE: Cosmo was diagnosed at 3 1/2 years of age with HCM. He lost his battle a year and a half later. We miss him with every bit of our souls.

Bio:
I'm a very UNIQUE little boy! To know me is to fall in love with me. I'm a little on the shy side but once I open up I have absolutely NO modesty. I am definately a shameless lover! And, if you give me the chance, I WILL lick you to death. I LOVE to give kisses even if you don't want one!

OK, My big brother and I have been tagged before but we've never participated because we don't exactly know how it works. I'm gonna try it this time and see how I do! Please forgive me if I screw up :)

I was tagged by the lovely and beautiful Scooter. She's a very sweet girl who is just amazing. Check her out in my friends and you'll see what I mean. SUCH a lovely girl! She tagged me to list 5 things I want for Christmas and then to tag more friends to do the same.

I want:

1. More crunchy balls--they are my FAVORITE and daddy has to dig them out for me EVERY morning so I'm a happy kitty.

2. Heavier blankets on mommy and daddy's bed. I'm COLD and I love to sleep ALL DAY under the covers but it sure would be nice to have a heavier blanket to help me through these COLD Michigan winters

3. I wish to be held ALL day. If mommy (or daddy) would just stay home and hold me ALL day I would be SUCH a happy little boy. I can't get ENOUGH of being held and snuggled!

4. MORE fun toys on the Christms tree!!! I've had some fun playing with the silk flowers but PLEASE put some more exciting "toys" on the tree!!

5. Kittie happiness worldwide! I know it's cheesy BUT I wish every kitty would be loved and cherished and feel a sense of peace, security and comfort-ALWAYS. SOMEDAY this WILL be possible and I wish it for ALL kitties. Please humans--take care and love us and give us safe and loving homes. In return we'll give you unconditional love (as long as we get treats;) ) and always be there for you when you need us. KITTIES are ALSO (wo)man's best friends--NOT just dogs FYI!

I'm tagging some cute kitties!

I'm just sorry I'm limited to only five kitties. I love MANY of you and I'm so glad to have you all here on Catster! Hope I did this right!
Happy Holidays to one and all!!!

Oh the indignity!

I've suffered quite the humiliation! It's taken me a day to even be able to sit and write of it. You see yesterday, oh, this is still so hard! OK, yesterday I was really thirsty. And BTW mommy does NOT keep my water fountain as clean as I would like. She insists that cleaning and changing the filter weekly is sufficient. Well! I beg to differ! I want, no I DEMAND that it get done daily INCLUDING a new filter. Now, I KNOW the filter is designed to last much more than a day but that's just not good enough for me, the Moe!

Anyway, I was really thirsty and the fountain water just wasn't cutting it so I turned to the "other" fountain (the "other" fountain being the big white thingy in the bathroom that occasionally makes weird noises and swirls LOTS of fresh, cold water). My big bro taught me how to get up on the seat thing (when it's open for business) and lean in with my two front paws and one can get a nice cold drink. Well! I musta placed a paw too far one way or another (and NO it's NOT beause I'm clumsy, sniff!) and next thing I knew my drink became a bit of a swim. And this was NOT even bath day!

Well, next thing you know, mommy comes running (LAUGHING, no less, and running) in and sees all the water (SHE claims all the water, I beg to differ) everywhere and grabs a towel to dry me off. It's bad enough I lost my balance and KIND OF got a LITTLE water on my paws but to have her rushing in, and did I say laughing?!, with a towel was just too much! Seriously, I woulda cleaned up the little bit of water I splashed. She made like it was a far bigger deal then it was. Did I say she was laughing?!

So anyway, I had to suffer further as I was toweled off and then had to watch her wipe up the VERY FEW drips I accidently spashed around while I was catching my balance. It was NOT me that got water all over the floor, the door, the wall, the other wall and the other wall. I DO NOT know where all THAT came from but it most CERTAINLY was not from me. Somecat before me musta made THAT mess but it wasn't ME!

Hmpfff. She's been snickering and looking at me ever since. Even called daddy at work. Hmpff!
