 Quick Bio:
 Coloration: Black

Likes: Play-fighting with Lotus, licking my hands and face, and snuggling.

Pet-Peeves: He is quite vocal if you pick him up and he feels he was in the middle of something important.

Favorite Toy: Mostly mice ("mousies"), but pretty much anything that moves, dangles, bounces, rattles or simply exists.

Favorite Nap Spot: He likes to sleep beside us on the bed, on my pile of sweaters or in the little kitty trees we have.

Favorite Food: Anything really, but I think he prefers wet food over dry. He also loves Whiskas cat milk.

Skills: Not that I know of at this time, unless you count being especially cute.

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story: One evening I was at my mom's house and I called my boyfriend at home just to check in. He told me there was a little black kitten meowing at Lotus through our window (we live in a basement suite). He said he kept going outside to see if the kitten would come to him, but the kitten kept running away. I went home to find that Chris had the screen popped out halfway. The kitten was still sitting there; all you could see were these two yellow eyes. I took some of the cats' cat food and coaxed the kitten in with it. He kept sucking on my finger as if he was looking for milk. He sure was hungry! He ate for about twenty minutes straight, and drank for ten more. Our plan was to go around the neighborhood asking if someone had lost a kitten, but I had an aversion to this idea, especially after I saw how hungry and dirty he was (had dirt caked all over him, right down to his skin) and that his tail was broken, I basically decided just to keep him. All of our four cats are boys, so although Puff, Gizmo and Lotus were a little wary of Felix at first and would hiss at him and run away when he got too close, they get along great now. We took Felix to the vet shortly after he came to us and were told that he is perfectly healthy. The only thing is that he has no feeling in two thirds of his tail past where it was broken (probably from getting slammed in a door). The vet said it felt warm and therefore would probably not fall off, but recently it has been getting hard, as if the vertebrae are fused - I phoned the vet's office, and the assistant told me that it means that his tail is probably going to fall off and he will look like a little Manx kitten with just a stub for a tail.

Bio: As his tail is tw0-thirds paralyzed and in the process of falling off, Felix has a little bit of an unstable sense of balance that should resolve itself fairly quickly. He loves play-fighting, especially with Lotus, who is incredibly gentle, patient and accepting (he has never met a cat he didn't like). Felix is shy around new people but extremely quick to warm up to almost anyone. He loves toys that he can bat around and chase after like lightning. He loves to cuddle.

My tail had been getting harder and more shrivelled for about a week, and then, when my mommy was in Vancouver and I was home with daddy, my tail fell off! Daddy had just told mommy on the phone that my tail was almost off when I walked into the computer room without it. I had some bone exposed, so I had to go to the vet with daddy and have a surgery. They shaved my tail and removed some more of the bone and stitched it closed. I had to stay there overnight, so daddy came to see me after he was done work. Then he and mommy came to pick me up the next day.The stitches have been bothering me so much, and none of the vet's e-collars fit me, so I have been knawing at them, pulling at the stitches - they don't hurt at all - and last night I pulled out a chunk of my tail at the end of the stitches and mommy stayed up all night she was so worried about me! I have some antibiotics, but mommy was scared I would make my wound worse or that it would get infected. I wouldn't let her sleep either, when she finally tried. I came and laid down beside her and chewed on my tail until she got up again. The vet isn't open today because it's Saskatchwan Day and mommy can't find the vet's cell phone number that she was given when she and daddy took me home after my surgery. Mommy doesn't know what to do! And I just want these stitches out!
