She loves to be held like a baby and gazes intently into our eyes when we talk to her.

Arrival Story:
Our beautiful Siamese Miss Suzy Wong went to Heaven on the 1st of January 2001. We decided that our Tonkinese - Simmi Ling - needed a friend (she assured us that she didn't), and my sister recommended a Birman. Of course, one Birman is never enough so we ended up with Chang and her sister Jasmin.

Chang loved little Neo very much and looked for him when he went to Heaven. So when little Angel arrived, she took an instant dislike to him. He hasn't realised that he is three times her size , so she still terrorises him with a glance. He starts crying and backs out of the room and runs to me. Poor boy.

Meowy New Year!!!

We hope you have a catnip and fun filled year.

Angel turned 4 on the 1st, so he is now officially a grown up - we are still waiting for him to act like one ;-)

Mommy forgot to bring us our kitty bag from Aunty Joy on Christmas day, we will get over it.... eventually. Mommy cooked a turkey on New Years eve - she and daddy decided to stay home with us and make sure we weren't frightened by the noisy crackers. Jasmin and I wisely decided that we would give the turkey a miss; but Angel sat patting his piece then licking his paw for about half an hour - I told you she's domestically challenged.

There has been a change around in the Salon cats. Only three of the original cats are still there, with a couple of new ones. Mommy is still trying to make friends with the "old" three - but they are playing hard to get. The big tabby comes and calls at the door when their cubies run low,and then when Mommy rushes out apologising profusely he one hisses and growls. Mommy tried to explain to him that he mustn't hiss at the hand that feeds him, he replied that if she was more diligent in her feeding duties then he wouldn't have to reprimand her!!

Purrs and headbutts,

Nearly Christmas!

The year has just flown by! The Christmas tree is up and Mommy's sister has bought the turkey for Christmas lunch. (Mommy is domestically challenged and the only time Daddy gets a decent meal is when Aunty Joy cooks for him!) We always get a kitty-bag :-)

It is summer here (REALLY hot) so we spend our time lolling on the balcony enjoying the breeze and resting as much as possible. When Mommy gets home from work at night she takes me for a walk. I wear my very glamorous lilac harness and we walk up and down all the passages and stairs, and I rub my scent over every surface. By the time we get home I am SO exhausted that I have to have a long nap before my dinner - delicious organic mince - which Daddy carefully separates and puts on our plates.

Please think of all the less fortunate kitties out there and make a donation to your local animal welfare organisation if you can.

Meowy Christmas!

She's back:

Actually she's been back since the 4th. We had a wonderful time with Dad and he spoilt us rotten. He tried to give me my allergy pill but by the 3rd night he decided it was just toooo stressful. As a thank-you I made sure that my allergies went away, and by the time SHE got back I had a furry tummy again.

We were all in magnificent condition, so we decided I am actually allergic to mommy ;-)

When dad staggered thru the door with the giant pink suitcase (bought in Hong Kong to accomodate the ink sticks, ink stones, brushes, paper and Sumi-e books) Angel nearly fainted and ran screaming into the spare room. He didn't talk to Mom for the entire day. He sat on the couch next to her, with his back to her and refused to acknowledge her; didn't even twitch an ear when she spoke to him ;-) I played it cool for a few hours then allowed myself to be cuddled. (Actually I am a real-cuddle bunny and LOVE to be held like a baby so it wasn't too much of a hardship.) The next morning when Mommy staggered thru to the bathroom to get ready to go to the doctor (she came back from Hong Kong with Bronchitis) Jasmin rushed up to her and exclaimed: "Mommy, when did you get back?!?"

Of course we still remind her regularly that she abandoned us and that we only love Daddy!
