Christmas wishes!

Not much is going on with me. I've just been relaxing and spending so much time with my mommy between her school semesters. She's been home so much and we've been playing all the time! I love it!

I had such a great Christmas...my mommy got me some toys and she even let me have a CAN of good cat food. I know I'm not supposed to eat that stuff so when she got it out of my stocking for me, I was overjoyed! She also got me a catnip toy, which I am absolutely loving :)

My Uncle Brian brought home is brand new Christmas puppy and boy was I terrified! That dog is huge even though he is only 3 months old! I think I lost more hair over the holiday break then ever in my 9 lives...I permanetely had a hiding place in mom's home for the break because of that stupid dog, so when the dog finally went home with Uncle Brian, I got to be the princess again. Next time I'll show that dog who's boss ;)

Halloween

My mom just posted a picture from the Halloween Pet Costume Contest we entered. The lady at the pet store said we have a very good chance of winning the category of Best Pet and Human. Mommy and I will keep you updated if we win!...updated 12/2/2004...We won the category for Best Pet and Human for the Halloween Pet Costume Contest! YAY for me for being the cutest kitty in Kalamazoo! Watch out for me and mommy in the next calendar.

Birthday adventure

Yesterday I got invited to my first birthday party. It was Blue's 1st Birthday and I showed up to the party and it was a lot of fun. My mom said I did so good on my leash. I was walking around and I wanted to play with the dogs, but the host of the party wouldn't let me go near the dogs. The dogs were HUGE, and Blue's mom knew that one of the dogs would eat me, so I had to party in the corner kinda.

It was fun though, Blue liked the gifts I got her. There was frosty paws for the dogs and I got kitty treats. There were party hats for all the animals and mommy took some of me with my party hat on. My mommy and the rest of the humans got hot dogs and apple cider.

My mom was helping clean up the party and she was carrying me inside the house. Well when we got inside, there was another dog in the house, without a leash. The dog came running after me and I was so scared. I climbed up on my mom and the dog came jumping after me. Luckily the dog didn't get to me cuz my mom stopped him, but I sure clawed up my mom with my back legs. I felt so bad for her. She was bleeding everywhere.

The birthday party was fun, but the last part of the party wasn't so fun. Oh well. All that matters is that Blue had a good birthday. HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY BLUE :-)

I hate being sick :'(

So I found out the other day that I have tapeworms...I hate this! It seems like my mom is taking me to the vet almost every day! It's annoying, but I have to get better. I hate the vet and I hope that was the last time i have to go.

My mom told me I must have gotten tapeworms from being outside when I sneaked out of the apartment for two weeks. I've never had fleas, so she said I must have gotten it from a mouse. All I know is that I want this to be the last time I have to get something fixed with me. The doctor shoved a pill down my throat, my mom promises me it will be okay, and he made me swallow it! It was gross! Thank the kitty God that I don't have to take those pills every day, only one time for me!

Other than my vet visit, everything is going just dandy around the house. Mom's getting my costume for Halloween ready. I'm gonna be soooo cute, but it's going to be annoying wearing these angel wings and a halo, although I'll be the cutest kitten at the Pawty :-)

Well my mommy just got out of the shower, I've got to go lick the water off her legs!

My paws hurt :-(

Well today was the day...the claws came out. I hated the whole process of going to the vet. I hate that vet place. It smells and there are so many other animals there. I knew the day was going to come sooner or later, but i was hoping it would come later.
My mommy went back and forth about the whole declawing thing and I knew she was upset that she had to make me take my claws out. I knew she didnt want to do it, but I was literally tearing up the apartment. I understand that I'm an indoor cat and won't ever get outside, so not having my claws is just better for everyone.
So anyways, I'm doing just fine and the surgery went well. My paws are sore, but they're getting better. I have to get used to not being able to claw up the side of the couch or jump up on the counters without falling of.. Boy, this is going to take some getting used to. I'm just mad cuz I can't paw at anything anymore, like when my mommy ties her shoe laces in the morning, or batting at the cords to the window blinds. My mom is being extra nice to me this week. She's treating me not like an everday princess that I am, but a QUEEN cuz she feels bad for me. Maybe I should play this game more often so she always treats me like this. Slowly I'll get used to this and then I'll become the little princess/devil that I am :-)
So on a happier paw, Halloween is coming up and my mommy's going costume shopping tonight! We're entering a pet and owner costume contest. Best couple (pet & owner) win their picture in the next calendar. I hope my mom picks out something good for me to wear. Maybe I'll be a real princess, cuz I already am one at our house.
I just got invited to my first birthday pawty also! Blue's birthday is coming up Oct. 24. I'm supposed to bring a gift...what do dogs like?! CATS! I think I'll just have to party in the corner away from the dogs. I hope there are other cats there so I can socialize. I can't wait and it should be so much fun.

Cat Walks

My mom came home from the pet store the other day and eager to see what she had bought me, I quickly jumped up on your pant legs and clawed myself to her. I have a hard time trying to figure out how to unhook my claws, but my mom keeps telling me that it won't happen for long. I have a feeling I'm getting declawed soon. Anyways, I clawed at her goodies from the pet store and all of a sudden she pulled out a leash and harness. I immediately thought I was going to get a doggie brother, but oh no! She wants to take ME on walks! I thought to myself, hmm, I might like this pouncing outside because I just sneaked out of my home for two weeks and sometimes I liked being outside, so this cat walking stuff would be just for me.

She started putting that stupid harness on me and I didn't like it at all. I bit her and tried to wiggle my way out of it, but there was no chance that was going to happen.

So we ventured down the stairs and to go outside, but I didn't like this walking on a leash thing, so I made it more difficult for my mom to walk me. I decided to just plop down on the grass or the pavement and I wasn't going to budge.

My mom got so frustrated with me not coperating that she just picked me up and carried me back inside. So much for spending all that money on a leash and harness! I love my mom, but taking a cat on a walk....C'mon Mom!
