My first Xmas at home

So Santa came, somehow Sput and me didn't hear him or else we would have spied on him from the top of the stairs. Santa got me lots of nice gifts, along with gifts from our servants' relatives. Grandma D. gave me a cool fish-shaped tray to go under my water and food bowls, along with some reindeer ears I refuse to wear. Great Aunt Mary gave me a weasel ball, though that weasel is pretty scary, and a leopard-print cat "tube" that I can run through. Grandma A. and Grandpa B. gave me a whole bunch of balls with bells in them, and a "Micromouse", this little white mouse with attitude that somehow can speed through the kitchen without me even going near him. Auntie Jen gave me a catnip mouse with refillable catnip (a fine invention, I hate it when my mice lose that fresh catnip taste), and some nifty leopard print balls. She also gave my servants cat picture frames, I'll have to keep on them to put pix of me in them pronto! I don't remember what Sput got...my paws are tired of typing, zzzzzzzzzzzzzz........

We Are Family

So Mom and Dad finally brought Sputnik, my little sis, home. They have been telling me about her, but I was mostly distracted and usually half asleep when they would mention her. She and I met paw to paw under the bedroom door for the first time, then when the door was opened I had to give a good hiss and low, extended growl just to let her know that these are my catnip toys, scratcher, furniture, floors, beds, and servants. But over the past two weeks, I've grown to kind of like the little Sput. She's hyper, to be sure, but every once in awhile she calms down and I can actually give her a lick. Kind of funny how she really thinks that red furry mouse is real, anyone my age would know it's fake, unlike the little blue one.

I wish Morris the Cat had run for President, like he did back in 1988! Back then we talked seriously about the issues, like the kibble tax, same breed marriages, the war against dogs, universal vet care, furball research, the canned vs. dry debate, the return of the winter draft, and better litterboxes and training for our kitties overseas. I think I will just sleep the day away.

Play it Again, Dad.

My new energy levels know no bounds. This morning, I got into the 'nip again and went bonkers! I play on the bed so it doesn't matter how I land after a leap. I did some forward rolls, some backfalls, and a few hops. It's that darn Q-tip. I bite him but he continues to mock me with his cottony ends. I bite but my mouth dries up and I spit him out. I hate that dastardly Q-tip. Even if I tear him apart, he's back the next day good as new. I think I got him this time though! We won't be seeing HIM anymore....I'm pretty sure of that... Gotta go, I'm hungry again.

New Kid Sister?

My parents are looking into getting me a new kid sister, a hairless Sphynx of course, because after all...we are the coolest cats out there.

I am doing so well, health wise, that I have too much energy to handle, and I need a playmate to keep me company at night so mom and dad can go to work and make me my 'kibble kash'.

I thought cat food grew on trees, but apparently not.

My newest discovery is catnip. It never effected me before, but now it drives me completely insane, in a good way!

It's like I'm, you know, totally in tune with the universe man, like totally into everything and everything is glowing and love is everywhere. Can you catch my new vibe man? It's all good people. Hey where's my stash? I want to get nipped up, fight a Q-Tip to the death for 20 minutes, and then take my afternoon power nap.

What a long, strange trip it's been...

...but I'm happy to report that I am feeling better. Spent five nights away from my mommy and daddy, and my heated bed and mouse friends, at the Penn vet hospital. It was pretty scary, I had to be hooked up to strange machines and there were other kitties and doggies all around me, not feeling good either. My docs Dr. Antu, Dr. McNeil, and Dr. Adler all helped me out though, and my nurse Nicole was always looking out for me. Have to give a paw to my fellow hairless pal Pundarik who has sent encouraging words my way, as well as all the nice humans who have asked about me. Hope to be jumping on your lap soon.

Alien Abduction

My mommy and daddy took me to the vet last night, I had to stay there all alone. They didn't feed me and gave me an enema.

When I came home my daddy told everyone that I had been abducted by aliens and that they anally probed me in their spaceship.

I didn't think it was very funny, not even nearly as funny as calling me a 'Chihuahua', but then my daddy took a nap with me and fed me my new favorite food, tuna ( I highly recommend it), and I forgot all about my bad experience. Maybe they could hypnotize me and I would remember the little gray men and I could write a book about it, and go on the lecture circuit. Naaah, I'll just sun bathe for a minute and meow loudly until daddy does whatever I want him to do. it's like having my own personal valet/butler. Now that's funny!

New food find

I recently discovered tuna fish, I highly recommend it.
