Arrival Story:
It was Halloween of 2002. On a whim, I went to the Humane Society with my friend. I had kind of been thinking about getting a friend for Sam, but didn't plan on getting one that day. It was 5pm and the HS people were suffling us out (they were closing early because of the holiday) and on the way out I walked into the kitten room and there was Meeko. I went up to his cage and he came right to the door and when I picked him up he nuzzled right up and started purring ferociously. I couldn't adopt him then because the HS was trying to close, but I went back first thing the next morning and adopted Mr. Meeko. :-)
