Hi Friends,
Mom heard from Ko's oncologist today. The pathology was inconclusive as to cancer, or what kind. The only way to tell for sure is to go through Ko's mouth and cut out samples; you can't go through the outside because the jaw is so compromised by the tumor. Mom doesn't want to do this as Ko was so uncomfortable just by having the needle go in the tumor. So, as the doctor says she is almost positive this is cancer, we will treat it as such and try some chemo that may help. This is a pill we will give Ko starting Monday, and she will be rechecked a week from this Saturday.
Mom is trying to do her best by Ko and is hoping this is the best course. There are no good answers with mouth tumors in kitties. Right now Ko is active, seems comfortable and with her appetite stimulant is eating.

Orvis why don't you tell Boxie Brown in the get well forum so everyone can purr for her besides her friends? We'll all definitely purr loud for her, I think your mom is doing the best job she can and at least seeing if there's a chance for her is what our mom would do. We know your mom will take excellent but special care for her. None of this is easy. But we're all here for you.

Oh good Orvis. That forum really helps so much. And so does the POTP. We'll be glad to send her one in a couple of days when we get our zealies for the month.

We are all purring for Ko our sweet friend!!!! you are doing what you think is right and that is all you can do, just take each day as it comes, love her and spend as much time with her, take pictures of her....cherish the time you have with KO...

Cancer is so nasty and takes way too many of our beloved kitties and doggies too...it is never easy for our humans...just know that we are all here for you...

We knnow your mom is doing the best fur Ko, and we support her and all of the furmily at this time.
Good to know that she is eating...so she will be staying strong.

dood...ko is happy N comfortable and yur mom N dad be doin ther best; thatz all that matters; we trooly hope the treatmints will help shrink de tumor and as always; de blessing oh st francis to ko...
