Hello pals! Hope all is well today. Mom is on a group page called undercats4life. I dont know why she decided to join as its a group of people who rescue cats from a high kill shelter in Florida. We live in MN so usually she can't help with fostering or pulling OR transport. Its the good stories I suppose she joined for. To see the ones that get out of the shelter. Apparently 90 percent of the cats and kittens that enter the shelter are euthanized. Just another reason to spay and neuter your cats.

Anyway right now there are 4 cats in this shelter that were surrendered by a ladies son in law. The lady lost her house and they had no where else to bring them. The son didn't tell her he was bringing the cats to this high kill shelter until he came home. Now the lady is begging for help to get her four cats out that she loves so dearly. Mom can't even imagine that happening to us. It would be the most aweful thing in the world. Undercats for life is trying to help and has the fees sponsered but no where for these cats to go. Its so so sad. So many people are willing to help but none of us live near the area.

So we just ask that you please purr for these kitties and all of the kitties at this shelter. Owner surrenders are the first to be euthanized. How can you give a pet to a high kill shelter???

UPDATE: They found a Foster for the kitties until the owner gets back on her feet.

The shelter stories make us so sad, so many innocent lives lost. We will be praying like crazy for this ladies babies, just as we pray for all of the homeless and shelter animals.
Everyone please spay and neuter your pets, if you must have a baby cat/dog, please adopt do not breed. Hugs to your meowmy Gordy and purrs to you and the fur gang! Love ya, Normy

I's don't even know how hoomans can work at kill shelters?! We's glad theys found foster homes for the kitties!! We's will pray for thems to either go back to their original owner or get new furrrever homes!!

The SPCA here in Montreal still kills when they don't have space. It's heartbreaking! People never seem to learn.

Thank you, Gordy- I am so happy you mentioned this! Did you know that the kitties they help are from MDAS (Miami Dade Animal Services) and that is where I am from and my little angel brother Silvio was from? At the time mommy went down to Miami to get us, they had a 95% kill rate- that is why her SAY IT FOR SILVIO petition to the director of MDAS was so important and there are pics on our pages of the rally in front of the government center she attended for the kitties of MDAS (that is when she got me!)- our furmily helps transport kitties up through central and north FL and beyond if they need it to get kitties out of there since we are about 6-7 hours north of Miami! Thank you so much for spreading the word! Read my and Silvio's page for more- it mentions our situations and the neglect they subjected our baby angel too. We were so pleasantly surprised to read about your furmily's support of our Florida kitties!!!! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
