I worked at Dairy queen at the time, and he wandered up to the drive thru window one day. We threw him out some chicken strips and stuff-- so naturally he hung around. At first, no one could touch him. Then, a couple days after his arrival, He let me pet him through the drive thru window. He still would run, though, if I approached him outside! Well, after a week of this cat distracting his workers, the owner told me that if I couldn't catch him by the end of the day, he would call the SPCA to come and get him. So, the rest of my shift was spent crouched at the side door to the lobby, with a chicken strip outside, and a cardboard box inside the door. Finally, he came to eat the strip, and I scruffed him and shoved him in the box. Another worker helped me carry the box to my car.. and we wound up just releasing him inside my car because the box was too big... talk about stress for me while I finished out the shift! When I went back out to my car, though, all was well. While I rode home, though, he was perched on the front dash, staring at me the whole time. I could have sworn he was going to attack me!!! When I got him home, he turned into a very nice kitty with a couple of days work. We released him to be with the other cats, and he got along very well.
