 Quick Bio:
 Coloration: Tortoiseshell

Likes: Her kitty treats (!!SHAKE!! That Bag!)

Pet-Peeves: Whatever ticks her off at that moment... it changes as the day goes on... lately it's been mostly Anais

Favorite Toy: little crinkly organic catnip mouse thing, anything that moves.. or has the potential to possibly move anytime in the next eon.

Favorite Nap Spot: As close to Mommy as possible... had to clean out the cubby hole in the computer desk and put in a basket for her to sleep in for when I'm using the computer (she was climbing my back)

Favorite Food: Anything fishy... or possibly what Mommy or Daddy are eating. She gets her own plate now.

Skills: She can stand up like a prarie dog and likes to ride on our shoulders, rides the dog like he's a pony... can purr and growl at the same time... and goes from zero to psycho in half a second flat... and she talks.

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story: Friends of ours were moving away and couldn't take all of their pets with them. One of their barn cats had had kittens and we had taken over a bag of cat food to help feed them til homes could be found. Gansai crawled into the bag to eat... and then I picked her up to cuddle her and she walked all over me. But! Then she wanted down and I didn't want to let her go-- they were moving things around and I didn't want her stepped on-- and she BIT ME! I knew right then that she was going home with us! lol You never know if she's going to cuddle or attack. It's always an adventure! And the first year she used my sleeping husband as a trampoline, and thought his feet were sneaky creatures under the blankets.

Bio: Gansai is an Irish word, pronounced Ganzee. Growing up I had a cat just like her except instead of gray and painted she was black and painted. Gans has some serious attitude and I just love it! My husband has other not-so-nice nicknames for my darling girl... but that's usually only when he's suddenly bleeding from somewhere that was previously unblemished... Hey! When she doesn't want to be held, she doesn't want to be held. Why can't people learn?

I've been away for awhile because there's been a lot going on in our house... back in September I got really sick and had to have emergency surgery... I almost died and Mommy was really scared. I'm doing much better now (and so is Mommy! lol)! After my surgery I slept with Mommy under the covers and talked non-stop for days. She loved it.
Well, this is just a little update... just to let everyone know we're still alive.

I've figured out the perfect time to wake the Mommy. This morning I wrapped myself around her leg at 4:30am-- a half hour before the alarm went off. Mommy just figured that it was time to get up, which suited me just fine...
We went downstairs and that other creature they keep down there chased me! Mommy picked me up after I tried to climb the wall to no avail... I guess she really is good for something-- besides opening those pesky cans and being my heating pad in the winter (or when the air conditioning is set too high)! But that got my heart pumping this morning so I had to come back upstairs and smack some of my brothers around...

I started at 3:30 this morning by wrapping myself around Mommy's leg and biting her knee and crying. Somehow, though, she managed to get back to sleep! However, when the alarm went off for Daddy to get up for work Mommy hit the snooze and they got up a whole half and hour late. Things are proceeding slowly but surely.
At 5 am I went down to the kitchen with Mommy and stalked a mouse while she stumbled around getting Daddy's coffee and things together as fast as she could. I may have to rethink this whole interrupting their sleep thing. While Mommy was rushing around she almost stepped on me 3 times! I reminded her of my presence with a few sharp words and a couple of slaps in the ankles.
After Daddy went to work, Mommy had to take care of the rest of the creatures in the house so I went back up to bed. I smacked labrador, Jerry Lee, in the face all the way back up the stairs.
Now it's time to sit in the window and watch the birds at their feeder that Mommy and Daddy put up outside the window for me to watch. Then I think I'll nap for awhile. Until Mommy wants to relax anyway!
