Leave a treat for Jack

Nicknames: Jackie, Bella, Beauty

Sun Sign: Birthday: July 1st 2002
Arrival Story: Jack showed up at our house weighing about 2 lbs., hair all scraggly and with the strangest meow known to man. My mother, who has never owned a pet, fed her. She came back the next day. This went on for a while so we put a bed in the garage. We were afraid she had mange so we were extra cautious when touching her. All the kids in the neighborhood would come and see her all of the time because she had the strangest meow on earth. She also was deaf or going deaf. She found a spot under our shrubs in the front of our house. Towards fall, my mom brought her in and she lived in the finished basement. She seemed to really love her little apartment. I have a cat that is older and very territorial so we kept them apart. I eventually moved out and my mom and dad slowly introduced these two cats. They weren't best friends but they tolerated each other. My cat was my dads & Jack was my moms. She grew very attached to her. She got so that she would keep a very close eye on her time outside and where she was at all times. This went on for almost five years. After my father passed away, Jack would sit at the dinner table in my dads chair and keep my mom company at meals. She also sat in my dads reclining chair that he sat in all of the time. One day, Jack fell ill (3 weeks ago 7/2/07) and we lost her the very next day. My mother was (to put it lightly) devastated. I haven't seen her that sad since she lost my father (Just 8 short months ago). I made a memorial to Jack. It's a smooth, round, gray rock that resembles her and it was placed in her spot under the shrub. It looks like our Jackie. My mother longs for her everyday. We have the most beautiful picture of her displayed around the house. We miss here so much.
