Quick Bio:

Black Tiger and White

Attacking hands and staring at humans. She also LOVES to talk.

The vet! Big time! She also really can't stand being held for very long. She's not a very affectionate cat, but she'll follow her favorite people/cats around all over the place.

Favorite Toy:
Her two favorite toys are straws and playing cards. She plays a mean game of "go fish".

Favorite Nap Spot:
Either as high up as possible, or on our lovesac (aka the 'brown testicle').

Favorite Food:
She's not picky, but she definitely goes nuts when I try to eat my sushi. And she adores freeze-dried salmon.

She's as smart as a whip. She knows when my car pulls up next to my house, is able to open my bedroom door by turning the latch. She also plays fetch with her favorite playing card!

Arrival Story:
Myself and her other mommy, my cousin and best friend, had a very hard time getting a cat when we first moved to San Diego. We looked everywhere. We wanted a kitten, and there was a lot of competition for one. So one day, at Petco, we stood in line for a couple of kittens. I left to get a drink at Wal*Mart, and bumped into a woman who was looking to get rid of her kitten litter at the Petco event walking by. I took a look at the very first female cat I came across, grabbed it, and took off! I guess you could say we got our cat at Wal*Mart. :-)

She's had a rough first year. When we got her, she was very sick. It took three weeks of treatment to get her to her normal state. Then, in October of 2003, she came down with this extremely horrible stomach flu. We brought her to the vet, and they did exploratory surgery, thinking she swallowed something she shouldn't have. Nothing turned up, but there was a lot of fluid in her tummy area. They thought she had FIP. Miraculously, the morning after we made the appointment to put her down, she bounced right back, as if nothing bad had ever happened. We still don't know what caused her to be so sick............a lot of time has passed since that happened. Since then, my cousin has gotten married to a cat-allergic husband, and the-website-maintainer moved from southern CA to NH. Gabbie is currently living with the maintainer's fiance. She's lost another life by getting into some animal's face. But she tries to be a bully, which was part of the appeal of getting her in the first place. Finally, she, in all her bully might, caught her first bird recently. My fiance found her 'present' on his bed. :)
