Arrival Story: I had gone to my local animal shelter in hopes of adopting a dog that I had seen on their web page. When I arrived, I learned that the dog had just been adopted :( I was ready to go home, but my daughter had gone into the cat room, so I went in to find her. I was looking at a ferret when I something touch my shoulder. When I turned around the biggest and most beautiful blue eyes were right there in my face. We bonded immediatley and I decided to give him a forever and loving home that he deserved. He is very happy and knows he is the king of the house. I am so lucky that he picked me to love.
Bio: When I got Rip, I just thought he was the coolest looking cat. When I took him for his for his first vet check up, my vet asked me if I knew what breed he was. I just thought he was a domestic cat with no specific breed. That is when I learned he was a Snowshoe. I started to learn about the breed and notice all the traits of the Snowshoe. Rip fits the breed to a tee. It never mattered to me whether he was a specific breed, but I have really grown to love the breed.
