Arrival Story:
LadyBug is a rescue kitty and we are so lucky to have her. We just lost our top kitty and best friend Captain Hook to complications with his diabetes, it was th hardest thing we ever had to do as Cappy was so special to us. At just about the same time someone dumped LadyBug and two male sealpoint Siamese into a kill shelter in TX. Orientals and Siamese do not do well in shelter situations they have a tendency to shut down. The shelter where they were left recognized this and new that if they went into a rescue they would be taken care of. My sisters are both very active in a small humane society that takes pets from the pounds and places them in foster homes till they are adopted into forever homes. Their humane society got the call and immediately pulled all three cats, got them to a vet and to safety. It wasn't easy for the three being placed into a strange but caring foster home even though they were safe they did start to shut down and were given fluids and inticed to eat what ever they wanted. Thats when we found out about LadyBug my sisters' let us know immediately that they had her and started the campaign to convince us that in our grief over Cappy she needed us. We filled out the paperwork and even though we live in PA we got LadyBug and she arrived with a sister on June 30th, 2007 on a flight from Dallas, TX.

Sometimes strang things happen, the whole LadyBug adoption has been one of those things. First she appears in a pound just as we lose Cappy, 2.) She is an Oriental Shorthair they seldom end up in the shelters as they are not a predominant breed 3.) my sisters humane society pull her and let us know immediately that she's there 4.) They just happen to be coming home on a pre arranged vacation and they were able to get a seat for her on the flight. LadyBug has settled in now she talks alot just like Cappy, she has taken over his favorite spot, she's settled in very quickly. We believe that she is Cappy's gift to us a chance to pass on all the love we gave him to another that needs us. All the cats are doing well Boogie has found a companion to cuddle with, Bali has found that Boogie doesn't torment her as much now he has Bug, Chester doesn't seem to care and Gyro the dog is her protecter. We lost our Bug Girl on July 8, 2010 to congestive heart failure. Rest in Peace beautiful girl you are missed by all.
