Arrival Story:
This is more of an apologetic explaination for why I got Mira from a breeder instead of a rescue or pound, since I'm generally a huge proponent of adopting rather than buying pets. Growing up, I always wanted a Siamese, but my dad never wanted to put up with the noise. Growing up, my husband had a couple of Siamese, and he wanted to eventually have one of his own. I foolishly ran to the pound the first time I saw they had a Siamese kitten, and I ended up with a sweet but completely non-viable Siamese baby. Now I figure she must've been some breeder's trash -- besides being sick in about ten different ways, she was also developmentally screwed up. She died suddenly about three weeks after we adopted her. I decided after that heartbreaker that I'd find a good, reputable, caring breeder for our Siamese. Mira came from this breeder of Traditional Siamese. I can recommend her cats wholeheartedly.
