Arrival Story: Our family recenlty lost our little angel Lexi , and our baby boy Loco in the process lost his best friend. This is no way to go through life - so my husband and I went looking for the "right" new friend for him. While visiting a rescue league at a local PetsMart store and playing with their kitties, we suddenly noticed out of the corner of our eye, three little kittns behind glass . One was a tuxedo and the other two were gray tigers - all from the same litter. They all came from Orange County VA shelter and were moved up to Northern VA where there is greater demand for kittens.
Gabby (formerly called Izzy) "turned on the charm" from the moment we interacted with her. She played with absolutely reckless abandon and we knew she was trying to tell us she was the one. After spending nearly two hours at the store debating over all the foster kitties, we saw this little one and just knew she was the right choice. We laugh now why we didn't notice her and her siblings sooner and how it would have saved us half our day! After meeting her, we knew she needed us to get her out of the pets store to a new home. As cute as the kittens were that we originally went to meet were, they at least were going home at the end of the day to their foster home vs. living behind plexi glass getting very little attention.
She is a mirror image of her brother almost and they are still adjusting to one another. Gabby is fearless and will attack her 10 lb. brother relentlessly at times but he is also teaching her stuff and just today they were caught snuggling! There is hope yet!
