Arrival Story:
When my old cat Specks died in the spring of 1999, I knew I needed to fill the void with another cat - preferably two. My mom was away at an education conference (she's a teacher) and a colleague of hers offered her two kitten that had been born on the farm. Luckily, mom had had too many margaritas that night, and agreed to take both kittens. Three weeks later, the two scraggly kittens showed up at the house. They were infested with every parasite imaginable - the vet told us that they would have died within days if we hadn't rescued them and gotten them vetted. Cleo and her sister Spooky went from being emaciated and infested farm kittens to being posh city cats... and they've never looked back!

Bio:
Cleo has always been "big boned". She is on a diet (and has lost two whole pounds in the past year) but the going is slow. She's a complainer - very vocal, loves to pester people. She loves going for walks outside, but gets very angry when it's time to go back inside. The vet dislikes her - she's a bit fractious, and I'm the 0nly one who can restrain her for even the simplest exam.
