She loves to climb up to high places, like our 7 foot high bookcases. She also loves the bedroom closet, which is her lair.

Pet-Peeves:
She would really love to go outside to play with the outdoor cats we feed. But there are too many cars and she has no experience outside. It's too dangerous for her, but she doesn't understand that and gets frustrated with us for not letting her out.

Favorite Nap Spot:
High up on the clothes rack in the bedroom.

Favorite Food:
Buttercup will eat anything anytime any place. It's a bit of a problem.

She loves to bring up Chris' clean socks and underwear from the laundry room in the basement.

Arrival Story:
Chris and I saw her at an adoption fair sponsored by MCAT and Alley Cat Allies in Washington, DC in March 2007 and were immediately intrigued. She is a very fetching cat!

Bio:
Apparently her original human companion gave her up for adoption at the DC Animal Shelter -- reportedly because she was too vocal (which she really isn't!). Someone signed up to adopt her at the shelter, and then never came to pick her up. The kind folks at the shelter then found her a foster home with a wonderful woman named Tammy, who brought Buttercup to the adoption fair. And we are delighted she did!
