When we were kittens my Mom answered an add in the paper that said my brother and I needed a good home. She fell in love with us the moment she met us but I was a little unsure and shy. On her birthday she brought us home to Cassandra kitty, the queen of the house, but my brother (Sunny) and I quickly took over the place - well we ran all over it anyway. Sunny was the leader and I followed quietly behind. About 8 months later a wonderful friend of Mom's needed a kitty to love and she adored Sunny so he moved in with her. My Mom was a little worried as to how I'd do without my brother around and she was so surprised to find that I started to be bolder and more affectionate once he was gone. I started talking to Mom too, and she meows right back!
I just adore Cassandra and I follow her around a lot. I like to try to get her to play with me but she often swats at me instead. Since she loves to eat I always leave a little of my food for her to finish. And I like to sit in the same position she sits, especially for photos. Sunny comes for play dates pretty often and I sometimes hide from him at first, but then we're back to wrestling on the floor just like we used to do every day.
And my job is to catch all the bugs in the house and I'm really good at it. I'm the first to notice anything crawling around and I stalk it until I catch it. That's how I got my nickname Panther. I like to sit in the windows and watch birds, and I like to climb high on top of anything. I also like to figure out how to open doors to cabinets. Its fun to hide inside them then surprise my Mom when she opens the door.
I don't like the hot sun like Cassie does, I prefer it to be cool. But every week night I'll sit in the front window, in the sun, at the time my Mom comes home from work just so I can greet her with a big loving MEOW!
