Tabby and White

People, things that bounce, the plastic strip that comes off the bags of frozen chicken from Trader Joe's, and bubble baths. He is fascinated by soap bubbles and doesn't mind getting a little wet.

When his obnoxious little sister thinks his tail is a toy. Other than that, Mesmer is ultra relaxed: loud noises, strangers, and even water don't phase him. but yeah, there's always the vacuum cleaner.

Favorite Toy:
Bouncy balls from the nickel arcade.

Favorite Nap Spot:
Under the hydrangea, or on the bed.

Favorite Food:
Newsflash! We thought he didn't like any food in particular, especially one fluky time with prosciutto, but it turns out he's a fiend for turkey lunch meat slices.

He fetches! he picks up bouncy balls, crumpled paper, whatever, and brings it to you to throw.

indoors and outdoors

Arrival Story:
We got Mesmer from the Oregon Humane Society, which rocks. When I picked him up, he just lolled around on my lap and then tried to eat my belt buckle. Totally endearing.

Mesmer's best trick is his method of greeting someone when they walk in the door. 99.44% of the time he will haul himself up from wherever he's lounging, pad into the room, and flop down, where he awaits his scritches and stretches. Most often heard phrase at our place in the evening is, "Where's my flop?"
