Arrival Story:
We decided to adopt a little brother for our kitten, Marley so we went down to the local animal shelter. We saw Spliff and immediately knew that he would be the perfect addition to our family. We didn't need to look at any more kittens after we met him. So we brought him home to meet the baby.

So I had an eventful couple of weeks. I was sitting this cage at the animal shelter with all of my brothers and sisters and then the next thing I knew I had a new home. It happened really fast. My new mom took me out and held me and knew in that instant that I was the only cat for her. I was worried at first that they didn't want me because I had to go back in the cage, but it turns out that they just had to fill out some paperwork before I could go. But less than an hour later I was on my way home. Funny how fast things change.

I've been getting awfully spoiled since I found my new home. I get wet food, get to sleep up in the human bed with Mama and Dad. I even have a kitty jungle gym to play in. My big sister, Marley, and my cousin, Nesta haven't really gotten used to me yet. But Mom says that will get better with time. They've started to play with me a little bit so I'm assuming that they like me a little bit more. I mostly watch them play which makes me feel like a bit of an outsider, but I don't really know how to play with the big cats yet.

Mama was really worried because I got sick the first couple of days that I came home. She took me to the vet right away and found out that I had an upper respiratory infection from the animal shelter, which can be common. So I have to take this icky medicine. But there has been a lot of improvement in my mood. At first I just slept all of the time and acted really lethargic, but now I am running around and even attacking my parents feet early in the morning.

Well I'm off to grab a bite to eat and maybe try and play with Mar and Nes. Wish me luck!
