today meomy met two new kitties, poppet and vivaldi and read their stories. they are both such beautiful kitties. we know that their meomy is sad too.

i have seen poppet up here at da bridge, now i know that vivaldi was the ofur kitty with him.

Happy Good Friday, Efurrycat!

Well I see it is quite busy back down there with the hoomans.
Efuryone is runnin' around getting busy for Easter Sunday.

I have just herd frum my sweet Wanda and she is getting her
wings soon and then we will be soaring around the clouds
and catnip fields! Cannot wait to see my beautiful Wanda in
hur wings!

Oh what a day!

What a great day St. Patrick's day was.
I went to Goldie's Purrthday Pawty to
check on my brofurs that went too!

BUT, dear readers, it was my wings!
YES. I have my furrever wings, thanks
to Willow of the Bridge. She is pawsome!
Aren't I just sooooo handsome in these wings!
My meomy cried when she saw them.

Stormy Weather!

OMC, we have had such a day!
I can see all the way from the Bridge the crazy weather.
The winds and rain and thunder and lite-nin' has just be
horrific! Oliver didnt' mind. He slept right thru it!
Sammy did too!

I gotta grab a cloud and make sure effurycat is
okay!
Be careful out there, all you Florida kitties!!!!

Well, as I was crusin' by earth yesterday
I looked down at my home and what did I
see? Suitcases, meomy doing an itinary....

I don't think that Oliver know's what this means!
Purr little guy. He is NOT going to be happy.
I NEVER like to see them suitcases come out.
That means someone is going away and it is
not ME.

But, little Oliver, good mews is, they always
come back to me so don't be too sad whenever
this happens. They always come home feeling
sooooooo guilty that we just keep getting pets
and treats and lots of cuddling!!

*Yawn* ... gotta go check on my kits!

Sad Sunday

Well, my meomy is sad with the kitties that have been going over the Bridge lately or are getting ready to. She doesn't understand that fur some of them, it is just their time to go. Well, she sorta understands but still gets teary eyed.

Not too much mews from the Bridge. Efurrycat is happy and frolicking around the catnip fields. Even the meesies are smiling, as we don't bother them up here. Efuryone is happy!

Gotta run and check on the newbies!

Happy New Year!

Hi effurry-cat!
Well, another year up here.
There are so many new kitties up here it takes
all my time to greet them all, but I do and
try and show them around.

Sebastian, one of my meomy's friends kitty
came up here in late Dec. He is a beautiful
handsome cat and is sooooo happy. I just
saw him heading out to the catnip fields.
Tomorrow I am going to see if he would
go fishing!

Well, I am getting by the catvine that my
brofur Oliver is one of the 5 cat diaries of
the day today! I see they are all pouncing
around like crazy down there!

Woo Woo! A brofur for Sammy

I was pouncing around the clouds yesterday and what did
I see??? My pawrents are taking in a stray kitty that came
to our house. Now Sammy has a furbro to play with and
cuddle. His name is Oliver and he is a tuxedo kitty.

Gotta run and see what they are up to!

I loved Christmas

I just loved Christmas and couldn't wait to decorate our tree!

Then I would put my handsome self right under it and as
close to the fireplace as was catly possible without melting.

I hear a rumor from Sammy that the tree may be returning
again this Sunday. I will have to read Sammy's diary on Monday.

It's been hectic at the bridge!

There are oh so many kitties coming to the Bridge.

I know their pawrents are all upset with this.

We cats are all so busy getting them used to their new land.

I got the nicest rosette today from my new friend,
Mr. Bugs. He is the most recent one at the bridge
and we are going fishing soon.

I haven't written lately.

I am so busy working and showing new kitties around the bridge.
They are all so cute and healthy once they get here.

I looked down to my earth-home and saw my sisfur and her husband
came for my meomy's birthday. They came all the way from Vermont!

It was Biketoberfest which is when the motorcyclists come from all
over for the weekend to play and eat and just enjoy themselves. I
remember how noisey it was. I hope that Sammy got adjusted to all
that noise! That is how I noticed the home.

You could hear them
all the way to the bridge and beyond!

Boy, when meomy entered Sammy she didn't know if she could enter
me or not, but then she could. Now I am in there too! Woo-woo!!!!

There's going to be a football game!

Woo woo! I just got invited to play football with my
new friend Kodi and his friends up here at the bridge.
The girls are going to be our cheerleaders!

I am the worlds greatest blocker! I cannot wait for
this as I used to watch the Buffalo Bills play when I
was down on earth.

Another Banner Day!

Wow, my meomy made me happy again today.
She loves me soooo much and got me a guest book
for all my friends to sign. I sure hope I get a lot

Didn't watch the Bills???

What's this I hear? My pawrents didn't watch the Bills play
football on Sunday? They stayed home and watched a tiger
play golf. Now, every cat knows that tigers don't play golf.
My pawrents must be getting senile!!

THE DAY AFTER LABOR DAY, 2007

WELL, I HAVE BEEN TO THE BRIDGE SINCE 9/2/2005.
MY PAWRENTS ALWAY REMEMBER THE ANNIVERSARY
AS IT IS MY HUMAN BROTHER'S BIRTHDAY AND SO NEAR
TO LABOR DAY.

I WAS TAKEN ILL A FEW DAYS BEFORE BUT NO ONE NOTICED
AS THEY WERE GETTING READY FOR THEIR VACATION AND I
ALWAYS SLEEP A LOT ANYWAYS.

BUT THE DAY BEFORE VACATION MY MEOMY SAYS, WE HAVE
TO CALL THE VET AND TAKE HOOTIE BEFORE WE GO. I DO NOT
WANT TO LEAVE HIM WITH THE CAT SITTER AND GO AWAY,
SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT.

WELL, SHE WAS RIGHT AND ON FRIDAY THE VET SAID THAT I
HAD A LARGE TUMOR ON MY LUNGS AND DIDN'T HAVE LONG
TO LIVE AT ALL. HE TESTED IT AND IT WAS CANCEROUS.

I PASSED ON TO THE BRIDGE AND NEEDLESS TO SAY MY PAWRENTS
DIDN'T GO ON VACATION THAT YEAR. THEY VISITED THE PET
CEMETERY, TOOK PICTURES AND PAPA MADE A POWER PRESENTATION
OF MY LIFE. THAT TOOK ABOUT ONE WEEK OR SO.

AFTER THAT, THEY STOPPED AT THE HUMANE SOCIETY JUST TO SEE
*WHAT KITTENS MIGHT BE THERE THAT NEEDED A HOME*. NOT
TO GET ONE, YOU KNOW, IT WAS MUCH TO SOON.

WELL, MY MEOMY WAS LOOKIN' AT THIS LITTLE SIAMESE KITTEN
AND I SAID, "OH NO!!" AND I NUDGED THIS LITTLE ORANGIE. THE
ORANGIE PICKED UP ON IT AND TAPPED PAPA ON HIS ARM AND
PURRED, "ME, ME, PICK ME!!!

WELL, PAPA SAYS TO MY MEOMY, LOOK AT THIS
LITTLE GUY.

THAT'S ALL IT TOOK! THEY GOT HIM OUT OF HIS CAGE FOR FAMILY
TIME AND ARRANGED TO ADOPT HIM. THE REST IS HISTORY.

SAMMY CAME TO HIS FUREVER HOME ON 09/12/05! HE SURE IS ONE
LUCKY CAT.

HO-PRUM! TIME FOR A NAP THEN OFF TO CHASE THE FLUTTERBYS.

Catfish

Boy, I have been busy showing these new kitties the ropes up
here. I am especially fond of a kitty named Catfish. We have
been romping the catnip fields and we are going fishing later
this week.

Diaries

Well, I was purrrrrowsing the diaries of all you cats down
there this morning and noticed that I had pawwed something.

Well straight shooters, it wasn't me. It was my meomy, thinking
she was in Sammy's diary. Humpf! I guess I will have to
come up with something memorable!

It has been another great week here at the bridge. Greeting
the newbies and meeting w/my ofur buddies.

Um, that's about all I have to say. Time to take a stroll
through the fields.

RIP Troy

Well, my meomy told me that a new kitty just came to the bridge today and she is quite sad. She told me to get my buds and welcome RIP Troy and help him adjust to the bridge.

Hurricane Dean!

Oh no! Another 'cane!

Well today I have gathered up all my little furbuds with angel wings and
we are purraying that this Dean 'cane just fizzles out in the Gulf of
Mexico. We don't want it to hit land anywhere!!!!

If we all do this purrraying, I betcha we can stop Dean in his tracks.

Just in case I have told Sammy it is not too bad. Just get into my carrier
when meomy and Papa say to and you will like it at cousin Casper's.
You see, Casper's pawrents have a cement block house and it is really
quite safe there. There are other cats to play with, too.

HANDSOME GUY

DEAR DIARY,

WELL, IT WAS A SLOW DAY AROUND HERE YESTERDAY.
WE TOOK CARE OF THE HURRICANE THAT WAS HEADED FOR
HAWAII. WHEW!!! THAT'S DONE.

I SEE THAT MY MEOMY HAS POSTED A DIFFERENT PIC FOR
MY CATSTER BADGE. THIS IS THE ONE SHE TOOK OF ME A
FEW MONTHS BEFORE I CAME HERE. SHE HAD STARTED
DRAWING WITH PENCILS, YOU KNOW THOSE STICK THINGS
WITH RUBBER ON THE ENDS. ANYWAY, SHE LIKES TO DRAW

LIGHTHOUSES, WHATEVER THEY ARE, AND HERONS.
SHE TOOK THIS PIC AND THEN DREW A PICTURE OF ME FROM IT.

AFTER I CAME TO THE BRIDGE, PAPA TURNED IT INTO A
PICTURE TO PRINT AND IT IS ON THEIR END TABLE IN
THE LIVINGROOM
FOR ALL TO SEE AND ASK, "WHO IS THAT HANDSOME CAT?"

THEY ALWAYS SAY THAT THAT IS THEIR BEST BUDDY, "HOOTIE".
AND THEN PAPA BRINGS OUT THE POWERPOINT PRESENTATION
AND BORES EVERYONE SILLY WITH IT. EVERYONE, 'CEPT MEOMY,
CAUSE SHE CRIES.

OH WELL. I HAVE TO GO FIND MY FRIENDS AND WISH THEM A GREAT DAY!!!

The canes are comin'!

Well I hear it from good sources that the 'canes are
going to be swoooooping down on earth pretty soon.
I sure hope they stay away from my pawrents and Sammy's
place. Sammy hasn't lived through one of them yet. I
know he will be scared as he doesn't like the wind at all
and always alerts my pawrents when there is a storm a
brewin.

My furiends will be watching from the Bridge and using
our angel dust to keep them away from harm.

Be strong you little ones and get into your carriers if need be.

New Friends

Wow, I am meeting so many new friends through this catster thing.
I am going to Catnip Field and fishing with my new friend Oliver.

I was purrowsing through the cat pix and found this cat named "Oreo" and thought that I was looking at myself in my youth. I corraled him right away!

Time to go looking out for the young uns that are arriving here.
Boy, this is a full time job!

Boy, what a day!

Meomy signed me up for the Rainbow Bridge Kitties group and have I been
having a wonpurful time! I have had two Rosettes, one from Albert and one from Mipette. There are a lot of great new friends up here.

I am looking forward to meeting a ton of more furbuts.

Ho hum, I am tired after all my purring around.

Time for a nap!

It sure is busy here.

Wow, July was a very busy month, welcoming all
of the catsters that have gone to the Bridge.

It is really quite nice here. I have all these friends
and no one is sick or tired or unhappy. Even the
weather is purrrrfect.

I remember a time a few years ago, there were
these storms that came in the summer. Where we
came from, in NY state, they didn't have these
things called 'canes.

Well for the first one, we went to my cousin Casper's
home, as his parents would not let us stay in our home
and we had to evacuate. Well, let me tell ya, it blew, and
it blew, and I thought the whole roof was a'coming off!
BUT then it was quiet and all was really quite nice and
we went home the next day. That was hurricane Charlie.

The next one that came was Frances, and even our cousins
took off for the west side of the state so we checked ourselves
in at the Day's Inn 2 days before she hit! I think my mama
put a picture of me on my crate looking out of the window
of the motel. It was really spooky as the power went off
and everything!!! There were quite a few cats and dogs
there as the motel is pet friendly.

When we got home on Labor Day we still
were without power for a whole week and the folks were
getting real testy!

Thank goodness we don't have them canes
here!

How I met the vaccuum ...

Well, I see mama put the picture of me in my cast
as my badge! Phooey. What a day THAT was. I
was minding my own business in the kitchen,
just poking around, and saw this thing hanging
out of an outlet. It looked pretty silly there so
I went to investigate it. It looked purrty furmless
but NOT! I touched it and down it came onto my
paw! I heard frum my folks that all they heard was
BAM and MEEEEEEEOWWWWWEEEEEE and saw
a flash of fur leaving the kitchen.

Well my Papa and Mama took me to the v*t and
they exrayed my paw and saw a toe fracture in two
toes. The doc said I needed a cast and then we would
see about what to do in a few weeks! Yeah, right! Like
I like THAT idea. Papa took this for 1 week and back
to the doc we go. Papa says, "Hootie does not like this
cast!". The doc says well, we could send him to a cat
psychiatrist and see what he says. My papa said no,
take of this cast he will be fine. The doc says ok, but
he might have a limp for the rest of his life. Well, you
know what? The cast came off and in two weeks I was
just fine.

How I met my folks

My first home was with a family where the man didn't like cats and was always kicking me. A nice young girl saw this and asked if she could make a home for me. Boy that skunk was all for that! She took me home and named me "Snoopy".

About 2 mos later she moved into a new pad and asked her mama to take me until she could get me back again. Well, mama was recently widowed and welcomed me into that home just fine. She fell in love with me, (natchfurly) and she renamed me "Hootie" after Hootie and the Blowfish (whoever or whatever they are).

Now, some nice gentlemen start coming to mama's house and they start this dating thing. One night this guy comes and when I jump in his lap and look him in the eye he doesn't toss me to the floor but instead says, "Hi Hootie!" The rest is history BUT it now involves, yes, another MOVE.

Now, everyone knows I do not travel well. It is very traumatizing for me to go into a car because no fun ever comes of it. So they move me to this big house and try to keep me inside, as I am an inside cat already since being with my mama. About 2 hours go by and they notice nobody has seen me!
Now doesn't that just beat all? My new Papa figures I must have escaped
the house and starts running up and down the road calling "Hootie, Hootie".
And pretty soon my mama, she's pretty smart, goes upstairs and calls, "Here kitty, kitty, kitty," the little way only she has of doing it and I come proudly walking out of a closet. She tells my papa that she found me and everyone is happy and petting and kissing me, pretty much letting me do anything I want to!

Oh, I am tired. I will write some more tomorrow.
