   Leave a treat for Claude

My human likes to call me Claude-kitty, Miss Priss (when I won't let her rub my belly), and BA (for Bad Attitude when I take the occasional swipe at her).

Quick Bio:
-mixed breed-cat rescue

I love to lounge in the sun and perch on the windowsill to stalk the birds outside. But most of all I love waking up my human at 5 o'clock in the morning on Saturdays.

I particularly dislike bellyrubs and being held like a baby. Car alarms really freak me out, too.

Favorite Toy:
Being a cat of impeccable taste, I prefer pouncing on my orange feather and batting around mice that are filled with catnip. (That's good stuff!)

Favorite Nap Spot:
My favorite location for a catnap is wherever the sun is. Second favorite is on my human when she lays on the couch.

Favorite Food:
I looooove Temptations treats - I almost start drooling like Pavlov's dog when I hear the treats bag shaking!

I am a cat, I don't need special skills.

Arrival Story:
"How I came to live with my human" - a brief autobiography by Claude. My human's parents live out in the country and I was passing by one lovely September afternoon when her mom saw me. I was really skinny then, and quite skittish, so her mom set out food and water for me hoping that I would let her pet me. Her mom's really nice so she and I became friends. The next day her mom called my human and said that there was a really cute cat that wandered up to the house and asked if my human would like to take me home. She said "Of course!" and drove up the very next day to pick me up. She and her family assume that I was someone's house cat that was no longer wanted because I behave so well indoors. I haven't told them any of my history - a kitty's gotta have her secrets, right? Anyway, I really like living with my human because she plays with me, gives me treats and doesn't get too mad when I eat her plants.

"Get Fuzzy" is my favorite comic strip. That Bucky, he's one crazy cat! If I could vote, I'd cast my ballot for the Kerry/Edwards ticket. But, since the government doesn't give citizen status to felines, I'm not allowed to vote. I know that even if I could vote it wouldn't have made much difference in the red state of Indiana. My owner is still sad at the outcome of November's elections but I keep reminding her about the Twenty-Second Amendment to the Constitution. That cheers her up.
