 Quick Bio:
Likes: Sitting in her daddy's lap, giving nose kisses, having her ears rubbed.

Pet-Peeves: Other kitties, especially her sister Tinker; vacuum cleaner; being held when it's not her idea.

Favorite Toy: Rainy never underestimates the entertainment value of anything. The whole world is a kitty toy to her.

Favorite Nap Spot: Dad's (preferably) or Mom's lap; sunshine patch by the back door, by Mom's feet when on the computer.

Favorite Food: Fancy Feast, cookies, licking the taste from barbecue potato chips, goldfish crackers, and the occasional lick of vanilla ice cream.

Skills: Rainy can open doors, leap almost 5 feet vertically from a standstill, tightrope walk along the kitchen bannister, and climb ladders. She once built a crude stairway to get to a high shelf. If she could reach the pedals Rainy could probably drive a car.

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story: A litter of orphaned kittens was brought to my veterinarian by some kind children who found them. Only Rainy survived with 8 of her lives intact. She stayed at the hospital as a mascot for almost 7 months, and had some interesting adventures during that time, including skirmishes with a rottweiler and a german shepherd, and a wild bronco ride on the back of a rather surprised pot-bellied pig. The vet felt that she would have a better life in a real home and asked if I had room for a second kitty. I said yes, and life has been much more interesting since that day. Rainy is a sweetheart but the employees in the animal hospital played rough with her, so for a long time she had a wild side that would erupt with no warning. Lately, though, she has mellowed into a very calm kitty and only rarely shows signs of our Holy Terror that used to rage around the house on two wheels with the brakes screaming.

Bio: Rainy and her sister Jill have flown in an airplane twice in cross-country moves and the other passengers were startled to hear meowing from under the seats at takeoff and landing! They are international kitties; they are American, but they now reside in Canada. So far, though, they haven't learned to meow in French.

Lives Remaining: 8 of 9
