Homers, a student of the Minsk Ballet school, practices his pas de deux and jettes with his favorite partner, the rubberband.

Arrival Story:
Homers was in a cage marked "handsome and charming" at the local pound. When we took him home, we discovered that he could not walk on carpeting, jump, or meow. We believe he probably spent most of his life prior to us either in ballet school or locked in a cage. The 1st year with us, he taught himself how to jump, race around and richochet using furniture. Homeboy still does not meow, instead he coos and trills.

Homer crossed the rainbow bridge in January 2008, the day after my mother died unexpectedly. I like to think that he left to keep her company, because he was the best snugglebuddy I've ever met. I miss him so much that it hurts to breathe. I'm glad that he's with Mom.
